Our garage is a half mess as I’ve tidied and organised my stuff but my partner has a lot to do with his. My partner’s problem is he keeps everything. This has motivated me to clear out a big cupboard that I keep putting off so thank you lovely. I love all the boxes you got and the shelving your hubby made he’s done a great job, you both have. Hi Sandra, we’ll on the positive side, you only have half a mess 😂. It’s just too easy to leave it for another day because you feel overwhelmed, so I hope your other half takes some inspiration from this, and you get your tidy garage. It’s difficult to part with things you cherish, but we were ruthless, and no regrets, we just feel cleansed. I’ve tried to adopt a….one in-one out philosophy so that we don’t get in a mess again. What an amazing transformation Lynn. Well done! I have several areas that are in need of ‘transformation’. I know what you means by feeling dragged down by the mess. At one time in my life I lived in various places and had my clothes for that week, my laptop, tv and video recorder/player and it felt so uplifting. Trouble is it didn’t last long enough!

Keeping focused and organised is a must for my mental health so I just do it day to day without trying to think too much about it. We both used to get cross going into the mess when we couldn’t find things, and now that we know where everything is we’re peaceful, sounds dramatic, but it’s true. Hi Lynn oh i can relate,you and your husband done a fantastic job, its the thinking about it,and where to start,i have been doing decluttering and organising we got painting done so it gave me the kick in the arse to get a particular junk room sorted amongst other bits,i got rid of do much,house feels cleaner,i organised our wardrobes/kitchen presses/hotpress and its so easy to find things,all in baskets,well in cheap white knitted effect baskets 😂trust me its not Pinterest worthy 😂but it works for me and my family, i would say ye are delighted to have that out of the way,have a great week ❤

Oh I’m tickled pink that you’re going to tackle your garage Linda, I can promise you that you will feel like a weights been lifted….I took 1 bag/box/shelf at a time, sorted through it, and did it all that way, and do you know, once I started I wanted to keep going, it didn’t feel like a chore, it felt really good. A brilliant vlog so much hard work, & sheer determination on you & your husband's part.Well done before winter comes.I bet its lovely for you both to go in the garage now. Storage bins with labels lovely to find things.Last summer we did decluttering in our garage,now hubby retired,big job. Go to skips, donate to charity shops,Sold things. Put good items on our grass verge for free everything went. Gave tools away to a neighbor. Needed doing hubby has tools etc in bins.This year needs a sweep out & tidy.☕☕👍

Hi Lynn, you and your husband have done such a brilliant job of clearing and reorganising your garage. You seem to have so much in there but now it’s all organised, accessible, tidy and still looks so spacious. Did you look at your stuff, design a plan in advance and then create it? Marvellous. It’s very motivating and given me some ideas. I’m thinking about mine now but I seem to have bulky things like bikes and lawn mowers. 😀👏🏻👍

Hi Carole, yes we had a plan, we knew how we wanted it to be, then we were ruthless about throwing or giving away things we didn’t need. We have 2 bikes, they stand in a rack that my hubby made, they’re in the recess bit of the garage so they take room off where the car will go. And we’ve utilised the ceiling area now as well with more racks for the same plastic boxes. We don’t have a lawnmower though, but as you can see my hubby has a lot of machinery and tools etc. it’s surprising how much you can get in there if it’s organised xx good luck with your project, and I will include some crafts at some point ❤️🥰❤️

I know what it's like to have stuff , your Husband must be a handy Man , like mine , we had a 3 bed room house with garage full of tools and other things , we ended up selling giving away stuff , because we decided to move to north of. Italy 4 years ago , and arrived in our 2 bed room first floor apartment, with 2 suitcases, and 6 boxes on there way , that coast more at custom's then what were in them , now our spare room looks so full of stuff, but in order hahaha ,but we do seam to collect things in a lifetime haha..Ciao 😊

Hi Katie, my husband is a retired joiner so I’m lucky, I ask for a shelf, and it’s up before I know it. I agree it’s much nicer to do it together, makes the job so much more achievable. Wow Italy, that’s one place I’ve never been, but it’s on my list. We both find it hard to let go of things, but we were ruthless. Feels amazing now though, and so glad we did it. Ciao sweet lady 🥰

Italy is lovely , we are both Italians but did spend most of our lives in Australia 🦘, I do miss it some times , we lived in the state of Victoria were my Family lived , then moved to Queensland, near the beach ⛱️🏖️. I would be still there if it wasn't for my Husband haha , but he wanted to go back to the home land , and we even took our senior Cat with us , couldn't leave him behind, but sadly he passed last year . It really is Julie, we’ll I like upcycling, I sew a bit, but only basic stuff, I used to make soap, I’ll have a go at most things really, I made a lot of masks in the pandemic. I crochet my own dishcloths out of cotton, all sorts really. Now I’m obsessed with filming hahaha 🤣 it sounds like you’re very talented, my mum was very arty, much more than I could ever be, she could make very intricate faberge eggs, ❤️

Oh I love having a clear out, it’s my loft that needs sorting though and there’s not much head height up there…..even though I’m only 5’1” (at a pinch😉) I still struggle with the space….one day it will get sorted😉. Now…..can I ask your opinion of the treadmill, I’ve been looking for one that can be stored under a bed when not in use………yours looks very compact 👍. Hi Bethany, right, we’ll I love my treadmill, but if I were to buy another one, I’d make sure that the handles folded down. Mine don’t, I would have to unscrew them, so if your looking for it to fold away under the bed, make sure the hand bar thing that you hold onto folds down]…that’s my advice, but I love mine other than that ❤️❤️❤️❤️

My garage is at the top of the garden so in winter I don’t want to have to go up there to use it, thought if I have it in the bedroom it can go under my bed when not in use……I’ll get looking for one 👍

Hi Linda, we went on holiday in May to Turkey, and I had them tattooed on a whim, so painful but so worth it, I couldn’t see to do it once I took my glasses off. Every day this guy used to come round the pool showing photos of people who’d had it done, so I went for it. That’s why you see it on me, I’d never be able to do eyeliner… ❤️

Haha ! only when he’s shaving his head, it goes everywhere so he decided to do it in the garage, I think it’s easier than having to clean it up in the bathroom, his choice, but I probably whinged at him at some point in the past 🤣😂🤣

Eileen you've done a really good job you and your husband do you no anybody who could do a shed roof I live on my only and I can't. Do it I open my shed door it will like a swamp. I just stop there in shark lane

I have got family but they don't know anything about roofs I have done did they know anybody they don't no anyone. If somebody could. do it hardwood hardwood pay on for doing it.. lane
