Yes, all cities and towns that have a garbage collection system, either subsidized or other should have this paid for by the local government on a certain day each year to reduce unsitly build-up of debris and to help reduce rodent population as well as fire safety. At first, it could be extensive but it will ease off. Cars and such could have possible other arrangements made. I have lived in cities that have had this kind of service and the people welcomed it they would even hold block parties that would go around and help the elderly and less mobile people get their debris to the boulevard or curb. Great idea

In the UK ,they put it in a transit flat bed and take it away ,it would never have been put in a garbage truck ,the locals would go nuts , cause we've got to recycle everything !

Yeahhhh I'm amazed, over 770 subscribers the channel as lifted off, it really surprising that people watch that I didn't want to do garbage videos but honestly the guys are super chill,.I try not to get in their way but the amount of garbage we send to the landfill is unreal alot of that furniture could be resold the problem is once it's in a garbage enclosure the possibility of bugs getting into the furniture is real and you wouldn't want bed bugs or cockroaches in your house..I need more time off I've got a few companies to film some road milling machines and we're going to be getting some beautiful lawn mower stripes and sweeping.. better footage coming 🙏 thanks for the support!

This collection would be better with a couple of 40 yard bins , leave the empty bins there and allow the residents to fill them up , also a hook wagon is a single man operation.

it's very common in lower income housing, which this probably is. It's not cost effective to pay someone to move cheap furniture that's on its way out (assuming you even have the money to do so), unless you have friends with a truck, a lot of people leave substandard furniture behind when they move out. I can see this at the end of each month, especially.

How many mattresses can one fit in a truck? I visualize the load springing out to several times the truck's size at the dump (which in Ottawa, I wonder if it's still the Trail Rd Dump off Moodie Dr in the west part of the city)

Honestly depends, I’d say maybe we put a couple hundred in each load. It honestly just depends we can fit way more if they are wet but a lot less if they are queen and king sized. We also put of other stuff in so it helps pack a bit better. For dumping because we pack the truck super tight for the most part the mattresses stay crumpled (if it’s a full load) until pushed by the loader at the dump. When we have smaller loads sometimes the mattresses fly out and fully expands. Our dump piles look ridiculous lol
