How can anybody really dislike this amazing creation? So much detail on a huge scale. This deserves alot more for such a collaborative build. Thanks for uploading this beast of a moc. STAY away from the lotus flowers.

I like how they actually kept they sirens as bird women. Most modern depictions incorrectly make them mermaids. The giant characters and the underwater area was neat.

I love the detail of all of the minifigs using brown weapons, to symbolize the fact that participants of the Trojan War would have used bronze weaponry as the War is largely dated to the latter end of the Bronze Age.

Just some clarification: The Isle of Circe was where Odysseus and his crew were turned into pigs, the Isle of Calypso is where he spent seven years as her lover
@kai70503 жыл бұрын
Odysseus sent a scouting Team, when he arrives Aiaia. All of this scouting men until one was turnt into pics by Circe, because she thought, that this are pirates, who want to steal and to rape her. Hermes gave Odysseus because of that the flower Moly, which inhibit a transformation. Circe swear dont do evil things with them and let the tranformated men turn back and all of them were guests in her house during a year. In this time Circe fall in love with Odysseus, but he desided to leave her to finish his travel. So Circe helped him by sending him into the Hades, where he should Teiresias after the coming way. Also Circe warn him of the Sirenes, Skyla and Charybdis and not to eat the sacred cows of Helios. After he left her she bear Odyseeus son.

This is SO COOL, and congrats to the people who built this, but this is a little inaccurate. I know The Odyssey very well, because we studied it at school (and the teacher that taught it was Greek), and the storyline told here has some mistakes. For example, the first stop is not the island of the Lotus Eaters, it is the island of the Cicones. And Odysseus does not stay with Circe for 7 years as her lover. He washes ashore the island of the nymph Calypso, and she falls in love with him. She does not let him leave her island, and he is held there for 7 miserable years. There are a few other mistakes, but other than that, I thought the display was super awesome!!
@MythicBricks5 жыл бұрын
That’s the story however there is much more historical evidence that the journey actually happened in the Atlantic Ocean
@mwgg90895 жыл бұрын
Calypso made him stay she is cursed to love everyone who comes to her island but they will never fall in love with her. She can also only leave when someone returns her love so she kept him there for 7 years to try and escape.
