I have no issue taking on Korpisalo's contract if it means getting their first round pick. We aren't going to be changellenging for at least a couple more seasons so having him back up Wolf is of no consequence. If he is really awful the next couple of seasons, we can always buy him out, it shouldn't cost that much. Markstrom + 3rd rounder for Korpisalo + 1st rounder. Done.

Wonder if Alfredsson calls Markstrom to wish him Happy Fathers Day this weekend hahaha. One scenario that looks pretty reasonable was Sens send #7, #25 & Brannstrom for Markstrom & the #9. Probably not the worst trade for Flames. Prefer the #10 & pick 9th & 10th but really hard to gauge what Markstrom's value out there.

I want top 10 pick out of this Markstrom Trade We need high level skill players We have enough mid skilled players Picks 25 and on are mostly bottom 6 players I’d rather take 2 shots in the top 10 and 1 in the 20s than gain another 20s pick and a prospect

At the end of the day it is Markstrom who will have the final say on where he goes. He will most likely want to go where he thinks is the best chance to win a Stanley Cup which I think will lower his value. I don't think he alone brings back a first round pick unless it is the Leafs pick which is kind of like a high second round pick. That is where I think this is going. Markstroms best chance for a cup is probably with the Leafs.

That's a fair deal for both sides. All this talk the seventh overall for markstrom is ridiculous. Goalies do not get high end returns in the NHL ever! Usually late first and second round picks. It's ridiculous to think Calgary will get 7th overall and a blue chip prospect. Pinto is not going anywhere by the way. You only need to look at his play to understand.

Hey Mark how about Conroy offers the Ottawa Senators Rasmus Anderson for the 7th pick. They need defensemen. Ras has hit his ceiling. The shop Markstrom to the NJ Devils 10th. Conroy can secure 7,9,10 picks. And guarantee protection for their 25 1st round pick.

I doubt Marky would waive his no move clause to go to Ottawa so unless he has completely waived it and no longer has any say in where he'll accept being traded to, Ottawa is likely a non-starter for Markstrom.

I'd take Korpi back if it meant getting the 7th OA. Would need to trade Vladar, but I think Korpi is still better than Vladar and can at least handle a workload so he makes a better partner for Wolf. Flames unlikely to be back in contention during that 4-year contract so they can handle the costs if it means a pick that could net them Buium or Perekh along with Catton or Iginla with their 9OA.
