Awesome! I was just looking at Irongate's summer release dates earlier today. Given their respect for the extended Scandinavian summer holidays, I reckon this'll be out by next weekend which'll give them a week to resolve any minor issues. Really excited to play this with all the new features. That Plains tower is a terrific idea!

I can almost guarantee that if it isn't released by say Thursday it won't be next week. Friday 23:e is midsummer eve and that's a holiday almost as big as Christmas in Sweden. You do not work unless you absolutely have to. If it were me I would be nervous to launch anything at all next week just in case it goes bad.

Yeah I think it will hit the test server extremely soon. The devs made a comment not long ago (think it was on the Discord) that this patch was so close to done, they were considering pulling the last minor patch off of the test server and replacing it with this update. So basically QA on the last patch was the main thing blocking them from dropping this one.

@@losdemas2000 the old "industry vacation" would have started 10th of July. Not everyone follows that anymore, I believe that the middle or the end of July is the most popular time to take one's vacation. So if the ptb doesn't go well they still have time after midsummer to release it. I'm guessing though that they'll start to feel stressed if they can't release it the week after midsummer. Vacations are decided around February and aren't that easy to move unless the employee wants to.

Full upgrade your bronze gear, it really helps and learn to parry with a shield, don't fight blops meelee and it should be fine

Use blunt damage weapons against blobs, leeches and skeletons. Parry the Draughrs with a bronze buckler or even better an iron banded shield for the heavy hitting level 1 and 2 draughrs or Elites. Fully upgrade bronze armor and kill a couple of abominations for the root mask for poison resistance. Or just make poison resistance meads with a fermenter. That’s what worked for me, I used to hate the swamps, now I love the challenge.

Preparation is key whenever entering a new biome. Upgrade your gear (bows are always useful and blunt dmg is strong in the swamp), craft plenty of the best possible food (2x health + 1x stamina is very nice for combat, without food you have no hp or stam so don't go cheap), set up portals, make sure you have healing potions, and maybe the most overlooked thing is to stock up on whatever resistance mead fits the zone - poison for swamps. Resistance meads are amazing. Finally make sure you have a high comfort level in your base so you can remain rested while exploring. After getting all that sorted the only thing you should have to watch out for are 1-2 star archers, they're brutal until you get better armor.

Well I died while in my boat and lost all my stuff. Three times. I had poision resistance with me but yeah every time theres always something. I just suck at the game and I welcome the sliders to where I can tailor the difficulty to where it isnt quite as punishing. Valheim on default is pretty brutal when you fuck up. It took me forever to get comfortable with the black forest.
