I love the Open Cup Technique and it was a perfect choice for this huge canvas! This massive canvas will be the center piece of my up coming fluid art show at the end of July.
This is my largest open cup pour to date and I’m super excited to share with you this video!!! I hope you enjoy it!

Wow! It morphed into many things during tilting. First a mountain range, then avalanche with rocks and debris being pushed down, then a valley with a river and a snow slide. I had fun watching it decide what it wanted to be. Beautiful work.

Sarah!! This is gorgeous! I’ve said this before - watching you paint is like watching magic 🪄 (Sarah Smack Stick😁) I loved your entire process from adding the Prussian Blue into the base coat before pouring it on to the canvas, to you adding a couple of poured cups to the composition after tilting it out. I feel like I am looking at Earth through the clouds. Beautiful! I hope you don’t mind my asking but I am curious about the paint consistencies for your open cup pours? I love them! This was a HUGE undertaking and I loved the way you illustrated the ability to do large pieces...in smaller sections. This gives much better control and opportunity to develop composition (also creating different effects) rather than trying to move massive amounts of paint in one "dump". In the right spot this beautiful piece will be the focal point of an entire room. (Business or personal space.) Another 1 of a kind MACK MACK!

Oh my gosh, this is so beautiful!! 🥰 I did a 4x5' one back in January ohhh there not the easiest when they're on the floor!😆 it was a commission piece. Started with the fluid painting background, and then a winter scene painted by hand over that! I love big canvases!😊
