@@shanewilliams4603 but she wants to freeze dry the breast milk from when she had the baby. I don't understand why she will not thaw it in either hot water or in the fridge. I don't believe that he is breastfeeding baby Acre and that frozen breast milk would be better for him all she needs to do is warm it up it will though last 3 hrs in the freezer. I had to pump my milk and freeze it because my youngest daughter Bambi was born at 6 months old she only weighed 1pound 8 ounces and she needed my milk I would drive to the hospital every day and stayed with her they also gave me a bed of I wanted to spend the night the Hospital was in Ventura, CA and we lived in Simi Valley, CA so it was 100 miles each way. So both of my daughter's are born on the same day 2 yrs apart. But if Becky does use her machine to freeze dry it she has to follow the directions to the tea or it will not be safe for anyone.

Hi Becky, In my prepper resource books it says you can still store eggs on the counter after washing them. The trick is to dry them after washing, and add a thin coating of mineral oil. You can even do this with store bought eggs. Saves a lot of room in the fridge. I saw one woman who tested this and the eggs were still perfect even months later. Love your channel. Thanks for all you teach us.

I have always put my cheese (shredded) and also some blue cheese in my freezer. Especially now when the prices are extremely high. Two yrs ago I could buy our favorite hard cheese for 7 dollars/kg, now it cost around 12-13 dollars/kg. It can get a little icy but works totally OK in meals and tastes good if stored in a container with a good seal. Tomorrow I will fix my laundry room a little, have used the bench for sowing and it is a little messy. Going away for a couple of days and a young neighbour will take care of my chickens and have to get water from there. Hi Becky I forget to add this in my earlier comment. I know from your previous videos that you like making homemade gifts to give like your homemade vanilla, I have a homemade gift idea that my husband and I gave our friends last year for Christmas. We live in FL and we go to the beach and collect a few gallons of sea water to bring home and boil down to get the salt out of it. Once you boil it down you end up with kind of like a salt paste, you put that in the oven spread on a pan to finish drying out until all the moisture is gone. Take it out of the oven and let cool then put in cute jars and you can gift and locally sourced, home processed sea salt. It perfectly safe because of how lo g you have to boil it and the heat from the oven. You can also add herbs or other flavors to the salt in the proces. My husband likes to put the pan of salt on the smoker after it comes out of the oven for awhile to add smoke flavor. Just thought I'd share this fun gift idea, hope you enjoy.

Hi Becky. Still loving your food storage in the basement, in Australia there aren’t basements and I miss having one! Just a thought, have you thought of turning your shelves 90 degrees so the short end faces the wall? That way you can see both sides much easier and you could push them up against the wall for support. When you were pushing the box of jars on the top shelf, I was terrified that jars were going to be pushed off the end. You can also put a bungee or rope on the long sides so jars can’t accidentally fall off…

It clumps a little, but they're easy to break up. I've also had the Moz and the Cheddars in the freezer for MONTHS & it's always good. Be sure to press out as much air as you can before sealing... it keeps it from getting frost on it inside the bag. PS... I place a small piece of masking tape on each bag to mark what cheese is inside.

I haven’t personally freeze-dried breast milk so it might work well. But i would suggest doing you research on figuring out how much water needs to be added. I know if add too much water to baby formula infants can get water toxicity. Which can be not good for a baby. I’m sure it probably can be done. I’d just be careful on your water ratios. But I totally understand the need to find a way to figure out condense storage. I currently have a freezer full of breast milk and it feels like it’s taking up my whole freezer. But I’m sure someone here probably knows more than me about it and how to do it safely. That was just my thoughts. 😊 Super excited to see you in this new phase of motherhood as our kids are just a few months off of each other. And I’ve got to say I’m so impressed with everything you are doing. I certainly did not have the energy you did in my first few months of having a baby. I feel like I’m learning so much from you. Well, originally I posted to just vacuum seal the remaining block of moz so you don't have to shred it all. But, I just got to the part where you said it thawed well and worked great. So, I guess the vac-packing is a back up idea if you need it. :)

"Dent corn" is the secret to growing corn. Then, you cook it the "southern way". That is what I take to all pot lucks and it is always a huge success.

For all the open bottles of white wine you have my idea is that you could make reduction sauces and freeze them for chicken and pastas

You asked for suggestions on what to do with your leftover white wine. My grandmother taught me to make a chicken and pasta dish that called for white wine. It calls for bone in chicken (but sure you could use boneless), mushrooms, garlic and salt and pepper cooked up in white wine at a simmer. The wine becomes more like a sauce as it reduces with the combination of the chicken fat from it cooking down in it. Serve it over angel hair, spaghetti noodles or your favorite pasta. It is very similar to a marsala just a white wine instead of a marsala wine. It's always been a hit with my family.

I shred and store cheese exactly the same way you did, shred and put in a silicone bag then froze. It does tend to kind of stick together after it's defrosted, but it wasn't enough to deter me from doing it again.

Hi Becky, I process all my cheeses when I buy them. I flash freeze my cheese so it stays shredded and doesn’t clump. I can grab a handful out of my frozen bags without issue.

I home shred and freeze cheese all the time and I love how convenient it is. It's great for cooking straight from frozen (on baked pasta, pizza, etc) and it defrost fast and well for things like tacos or salade.

I freeze my cheese just like that all the time. It comes out great. No additives needed. Also, you can freeze dry some half and half if you don't want to just freeze it all.

Whenever I have left over white wine (also red but I have less leftover red wine 😂) I freeze it and then just pull it out when I need it in a recipe. It works great. I have also made wine jelly’s.

My idea about the wine drink it.only kidding. I remember someone saying she freezes the wine so when the recipe calls for a few spoons of wine she puts her wine cubes in it. Then you could put them in a freezer bag and use as required.

You should try freeze drying some of your vegetables this summer along with freezing them. That way if you freezer goes out or you lose power for a long time you won't lose all your vegetables. 😊
