I'm kind of a mix of both. I prefer physical and a lot of my games I own i also have on Steam for the mods and stuff but I wait for a very deep sale so it's not too much money and I get the best of both. Sometimes I like just turning on my console and not use my PC.

This is why players need to stop supporting digital games. The platform owner has the power to revoke access to those games, that we paid for, because it is only a temporary licence unlike physical games.

I agree, physical games are fun! I've kinda split it down the middle nowadays though... I'll buy digital games that I want to jump in/out of whenever I want like Spider-Man or Skyrim, but I'll get physical copies for shorter games like Ratchet & Clank or games with sick box art like Ghost of Tsushima. Unfortunately, I sold like ALL of my old GameCube & PS2 physicals when I hit a rough patch a few years back. HOWEVER! I still have my original PS2 Kingdom Hearts, KH2 & Re:CoM and I will NEVER get rid of those. I've bought the HD collections digitally, but all KH standalones WILL be physical. 😆 Including MoM!

One game I highly recommend and also advise you get it on Switch is the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection; getting six (ten total counting dual versions of 4 of the games) titles that was some of the GBA’s pinnacle RPGs that wasn’t Pokemon, the latter 3 entries having all the extra features tied to the e-Reader as well as all the Boktai content from the sixth game restored that was removed from English releases. They are such good games and made me an RPG person in the first place. Plus the online play for Battle Network 6 is competitive as all hell.

23:45 TY🪃 was the first video game I ever played on the PS2 as kid. I went through 4 copies of Ty2 because I played it so much. The main menu had a music player that allowed you to listen to the games soundtrack and so I would have it on all the time when I was in my bedroom as a kid. When I heard they were remastering the games for console via kickstarter I knew I had to jump on board and back it. It was amazing to have the creator of the series create an OC artwork based of games and hobbies I love as one of the backer reward. Still hoping for a TY5🪃

So excited for you to have a copy of 13 Sentinels. I finally played that earlier this year and it completely blew me away, immediately one of my most notable games of all time. If I don't see an update video from you in the future talking about it I will riot. As for other games, please pick up the Mega Man Battle Network Collection series. It's a Mega Man RPG with a highly unique combat system that has started to inspire other entire indie games into existence, like One Step From Eden. Upon the collection release and replaying them, I realized that it was my favorite game series of all time, I just didn't realize that all this time because it hasn't been an active series for so long. Not an action RPG series, but another odd one I've love to mention now that the entire franchise officially has been re-realsed with collections is Ace Attorney. I'd recommend at least trying it and seeing if it's for you. Sadly, they don't like doing physical releases for this series anymore.

I had Ty the Tasmanian Tiger for OG Xbox, and Ty 2 for PS2. Sadly the disk I got for Ty 3 on PS2 was too scratched and didn't work. Loved the first two games though, big part of my childhood

The Digimonstory cybersleuth games are AMAZING. If the game actually took place or half took place in the digital world they wouldve been perfect. Also the gravity rush games are so underrated, overlooked games. We need GR3

Another great underrated series is the trails series, it’s made by the same company who made YS and it has the greatest worldbuilding in a game I’ve ever played. It’s one of the only series where I exclusively preorder the limited editions

A great thing about having The Last Guardian on disc, if you don't allow it to patch on PS5 it'll actually run at 60fps. Updates lock it to 30, and unpatched isn't an option for digital downloads. Worth replaying it just for 60,

I absolutely love the Ys series! 8 was my first one and it became one of my all time favorites. One of the nice things about Ys games is that you can start wherever, each game is self contained aside from 1>2>Origin so you don’t need to worry about following an interconnected plot. The soundtrack is also one of the best out there but that’s common with every Falcom game. And you had it right the first time, it’s pronounced “Ees” but I’m gonna start calling it Yeast 😂

You should definitely play all the other Fatal Frame games. Most peoples favourite is Crimson Butterfly and I tend to agree, even though the first one was by far the scariest. Oh and TY has a PHYSICAL remaster?! I only knew about the Steam versions.

First Ninja Gaiden was brilliant. I hadn't played second one. Third one had good action but unfortunately it was a corridor of grapple spam enemies. I'm in two minds of getting second one. Random fact @thegamersjoint, Canada used to have EB Games as well for a long time with those same garbage sleeves that they provide. EB Games is now gone from Canada and we only have Gamestop.
