@@joen8091 It’s not a stretch that something is going to go bad. One in five hundred wing suit adventurers end in death. That is compared to one in a hundred thousands sky diving adventurers ending badly. I am in my 60s and have lost many of my friends and many of my rock climbing and skiing heroes over the years. All way to young. This used to bother me but I have now made peace with this. They all ran hot and living a long life was never in their cards. I too ran hot for many years but I got married and had children and slowed down. That said I still have had a few close calls. We all die and as I said some just run hotter than others. They need the adrenaline just to live. It’s all good. People who don’t run hot will never understand this fact. Take care

Nah, taking risks and living dangerously is good for men, but you also have to weigh risk vs reward, and there are so many more meaningful things one can be doing with his life than merely chasing these ultimately meaningless experiences. Get married, have lots of children, raise the next generation, leave a legacy, and change the world through that legacy.

Meaningful lives are ones in which your impact and legacy are able to be carried on for generations, which is why starting a family is so important. A family is the building block of society, so the best way to impact your society and the future of your society for generations is to start a family. Living for your own pleasure and happiness, then dying and having everyone forget you existed in a few decades is pretty meaningless.

That rope swing seems to be testing the limits. Hope they did proper calcs on stresses first. A fall like that can pull 4-5kN and that extra stress on an open canopy might be right at the limits.
