Back here in Sebastian or Florida and even in Australia they call them Razorfish. It’s weird because it’s not a fish. Also when I was younger and even now I call it a “Mother of pearl” but I guess that’s the pearl color inside the shell.

Wife and I did the same trip about 30years ago. Pulled scallops without the use of that great tool. Then fried the scallops in butter with garlic with white rice and tomato slices. We dove whole Baja with one big difference...I stayed and still I’m here in Baja over 30 years later. My daughter grew up here and graduated then went on to earn her first degree in California, now working on her second degree. Being raised here in Mexico set her on the way to being a great human being, wife and mother.
