This had all the makings of a three penny opera. The drama, the buildup, the unexpected twists of the tale. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The hunt was tremendous, the humor stupendous, and the hand drop at the end, priceless! Kurt you always deliver the goods and your cast of characters are ever a delight. Huge congrats on your first Morgan! I thought they were a myth too, then I found them back to back years. LOL. When you got that coin out with pliers. Maybe next time (like that will ever happen again) wrap a thin piece of cloth or your shirt around the end of the pliers so it doesn't scratch? AMAZING button! That's a beauty!

I have been binging on your channel for the last week, or better, and your passion for metal detecting has very efficiently rekindled my former interest in detecting. I never found anything of significance, at least not remotely close to what you guys consistently find (the best find was some Sterling silver pendant), but I really did enjoy myself. That Artillery button is a great example like you said of us Detectorists Saving history because in a few more decades it would become toast for sure. Make sure you preserve it well and rub some Renaissance wax over it. Finding old money is Sweet, but this is living history and we have a big responsibility to care for it once we dig it up!
