Was out at Hawthorne, so just heard the crash on the radio. Good video of a bad smash, such a shame the race finished that way.

Tysm I was at the grid straight I didn't see the damage but now I get a front seat view

Savage. If you pause the first frame of the video, soaper already looks like his impacting the primera then just doesn’t stop. Brutal for the cheque books.

Agree, Soper looks to have run wide and pushed Richard to the verge where he had no where to go…… Soper has then rotated across the front pulling them both in……

glad to hear they're both alright. really shows how much safety's improved lately. that accident in the 90s wouldve been nasty
@RSCOZZY6 ай бұрын
These ARE 90's cars. Safety was still pretty good then. Also, that wasn't a particularly hard smash. If you have watched enough motorsport, you will agree.
@blazepine6 ай бұрын
@@RSCOZZY i know they are. i'm on about other things like barriers, internal safety and the hans device, all that shit which was n't neecessarily available earlier on. the primera in question is a 1998 or 1999 spec model. i've watched plenty and have seen far worse, but that kinda crash wouldve still seen people hospitalised previously. are you done being a dick yet?
@johnmoruzzi72366 ай бұрын
Very unfortunate… it happened in absolutely the worst way with the angle of the barriers and the way the BMW spun…

Saw this from paddock hill bend big big impact glad both Steve and Richard appeared to be ok (just on the way home from brands now and not seen anything injury wise reported)

Hi Elliot Webber, I’m Anton Severinsson (CirciutKings), and I’m working on a video about motorsport crashes. I would love to use this clip in my crash compilation. Would that be fine? I will, of course, give full credit and link back to your original video. Thank you so much for your time and consideration! Best regards, Anton Severinsson (CirciutKings)
@ElliotWebberYT6 ай бұрын
Of course mate! As you mentioned as long as credit is given then you can! 😁

Drivers need a good talking to by Goodwood CoC before racing. Can have good racing without ending up with cars being destroyed.

Wheeler in the primera? Not his first incident in that series this year 🤔
@outofthi5world5676 ай бұрын
Hardly his fault though was it? The amount of events he's in with no incident far far outweighs the ones with.

Both at fault really, although does look like Soper moved across him, Primera should have backed out,Shame was looking forward to seeing Soper in the BMW tomorrow 😢

Wrong. You shouldn’t have to back out because your opponent cannot hold his line.
@matclawley53176 ай бұрын
Soper ran wide, pushed Richard out to the verge, he had no where to go, I can’t see how this is anyone’s fault other than Soper
@stevedunlop12756 ай бұрын
@@24DRG I agree, however May back out to save smashing your car up, looking at it again I agree I think Soper saw him coming and ran him wide. Soper being a “ name” was not blamed of course, such a shame as both cars are so badly damaged in what was an avoidable accident really ☹️ And of course as JC once said “ The man’s an animal” 🤣
