Massive Sushi Roll Challenge w/ Asian Gyoza Dumplings and Bao Buns!!

A&Z #1035 - professional eater Randy Santel versus the delicious "Oh No" Massive Sushi Roll Challenge w/ Asian Gyoza Dumplings and Bao Buns hosted by Ono Sushi Kenosha in Kenosha, Wisconsin!! Our friends with Ono Sushi Kenosha invited @KatinaEatsKilos and I down to help kick off and attempt their new "Oh No" Sushi Roll Challenge!! Ono is a Hawaiian word for delicious, which is exactly what all their food is, focusing on sushi and Asian Pacific Fare. I went first and had 1 hour to feast on their tasty "RK" Sushi Roll named after Katina and I, which they created for us during the week leading up to the event. Along with the giant 4+lb sushi roll, we got to enjoy lots of fried Yaki Gyoza w/ chicken, Ebi Shu Mai, and Vegetable Steamed Dumplings. There was also a plate of 3 different bao buns - Spicy Marinated Pork, Korean Style Bulgogi Beef, and Spicy Garlic Cod fish, plus 2 types of Asian fried chicken dishes - Karaage Chicken and Spicy Tatsutage Chicken. During the feast, I enjoyed their signature Mango Habanero Whiskey Cocktail which was spicy but delicious, and I was hoping to sample some flavored mochi ice creams for dessert. Thanks to everyone with Ono Sushi Kenosha for the delicious food, drinks, and hospitality!! Special thanks to everyone from around the area who came to watch and meet us that February evening. Ono Sushi Kenosha's "Oh No" Massive Sushi Roll Challenge in Kenosha, Wisconsin ($$$):
- Ono is a Hawaiian word for "delicious" and wow there is some incredible food at Ono Kenosha!!
- Ono Kenosha is known for serving delicious sushi and Asian Pacific fare to Kenosha patrons.
- The main feature of this Asian food challenge is their "RK" Sushi Roll made for Katina and I since we were helping to kick off their new restaurant eating challenge.
- The sushi roll includes cream cheese, fried shrimp tempura, crab, ahi poke, avocado, cucumber, lots of rice, and it is all topped with avocado, Unagi (freshwater eel), spicy mayo, and homemade eel sauce.
- That all was served with Asian gyoza dumplings - fried Yaki Gyoza w/ chicken, Ebi Shu Mai, and Vegetable Steamed Dumplings.
- There was a platter with two Asian chicken dishes - Karaage Chicken and Spicy Tatsutage Chicken.
- That were 3 Bao Buns with Spicy Marinated Pork, Korean Style Bulgogi Beef, and Spicy Garlic Cod fish.
- There is a 1 hour time limit to finish everything. The mochi ice cream at the end was optional.
- The Mango Habanero Whiskey Cocktail drank during the challenge was just optional as well.
- Winners earn the delicious meal free plus a sweet t-shirt and spot on the Ono Wall of Fame!!

Hey randy u don’t know me but I Wanna thank you for always giving me something to remind myself of my dads restaurant. He used to own sticky’s bbq in hillsdale but closed down. Great job but the ponzu sauce is crucial for the dumplings and a little low sodium soy and wasabi (with pickled ginger between bites) is the bomb with the maki.

This was more of a Katina challenge which she Dominated by finishing with the fastest time at 23.00 Minutes even. Katina seems to to under 5 Pound challenges faster than Randy with increasing frequency. Randy however almost always wins the bigger 6 Plus Pound Challenges. There could be Randy challenges and Katina challenges and never compete against each other in the same competition. Kind of like the Klitschko brothers did in Boxing. They Dominated the Heavyweight division in Boxing for more than 10 Years. They never competed against each other and Prize money went to Klitschko Bothers Inc. No matter which Brother fought, they Both got Paid.

We have a place called Zen Sushi. The Cajun Ninja introduced me to it and it was awesome. Can't wait to go back. Everything you had looked awesome. I think it is awesome ya'll got the RK Sushi Roll on the menu. I did notice when Katina did her video she literally woofed down those shrimp dumplings.
