I haven't had any server issues in 5 or so 6 hour sessions doing tall tales. But I play late in the evening with my friends when less people are on the Na servers. I know other people are having issues. Also I had a question if we got an expansion to the map along with an 8 person ship. It would be dope because then I could do the legend of glitterbeard.😊

I am a lore nerd and I love they are finally continuing the story. Also for hunters, I have for a while they should be viewed as a more beast hunter faction then just fishing and cooking. Merrick was always talking about going up against sea monsters and other animals. I think it would be cool to add trophies for certain creatures you can sell. This could also be a update to finally add more animals to the game, from more animals on islands, to things like whales, dolphins, octopi in reefs, crabs finally, and turtles in the ocean, plus new sea monsters.

New players have all the content ever, but older players miss the slightly less laggy times. There is nobody except the hardest rare glazers who think the game runs smooth. Even the content creators aren't putting up with yet another messy season launch. So might as well do it. Rare can't keep pretending to have the manpower Fortnite does, they either need to hire significantly more personnel or learn to pace themselves. I do not envy the developers consistently being pressured and put on crunch times to deliver content in whatever state it lands just because the clowns leading the show (whoever the hell they are) think they can make monthly mega-updates with just a few dozen people.

Maybe they should stick to Tall Tales form for lore (like for the Tasha's curse story for example that was messy and as you said poorly wrapped) ? To me it feels like this formula would benefit them more in terms of keeping the lore flow, and together linked with story driven seasons/updates (cursed sails) this could keep consistancy and access for a broader audience. I loved the adventures format, but as I just finished "The Legendary Storyteller" it feels better and enough. Next to it adding mechanics and factions would go along and also developping their OG lore like "The Shores of Gold" would benefit them. I might be wrong and not thinking about all the aspects but to me it feels like it would run in a smoother way if they were getting back to that kind of structure.

Hmmm I feel adding more Content without consolidating or removing content could bump into a Destiny 2 scenario. For those who don't know. Destiny2 had to "Vault Items" And remove Quest, Characters, playable areas, etc to add the layer upon layers of content that game had to offer. Everyone loves new content. But I am wondering if Microsoft is still asking it's developers *ehem* Rare to make content possible for the now ancient Xbox One Console it originally debuted on. Or did I miss that update where the Devs only have to worry about the Series X|S now?

it would be great if reaper's bones got real tasks that they had to do. e.g. Merchant ship hunting, where you can then get their loots and 3000 gold. it could work so that when you are close enough to this ship and you have that quest on. a pvp ring would appear and if that Merchant ship disappeared from it would be a shame for the merchant and you would get 3000 gold. but if it fought and you won you would get all their loot and 3000 gold. this would be a great addition to sea of ​​thieves. because reapers dosn't have any real quests.

I used to love this game. If I was told about this update a few months back, I'd feel super excited. As to now, I just feel like great more stuff to break the game. I think it's obvious by now that adding more stuff isn't going to fix anything. I'd rather they fix the lag or server performance so you can actually play the game.

I’m cautiously optimistic about the HC update as we’ve wanted it for so long and talked about the potential there, including the monster hunting quests and how they could work… I really hope they pull it off! Similarly cautiously optimistic about the storylines being tidied as SoT lore is a great love of mine and it’s sad that long time players seem to know the characters and their stories better than the creators themselves. I’m sad for newer players who have no idea why certain characters are either beloved or hated on, why certain NPCs exist at all, and have no idea who Pendragon is (please bring him back 💔). Part of what makes SOT so great is the lore which makes us feel more when we receive the Blessing of Athena for example rather than simply ticking another commendation off and getting back to the game. How these characters affect us and vice versa was something truly great in the past and could be so again if they would put in the effort. Another thing I’d love to see is healthier communication with the SoT community. After all, they’re nothing without us… Hopefully the fact that much of what went wrong this season was predicted by many has opened their eyes. Bringing in new players is great but keeping long time ones is better.

I have 100% more trust in Falcore than i do in Rare. I love this game but without my crew its been a atruggle to login since Burning Blade. Still need to finish those comms but open crew is awful. I logged in for this new season, played it for a session and havent been back. Everythings gone. Juat going to continue a break until things are fixed and playable. Honestly if they were lying and Pirates life 2 WAS in development atm that would explain what's been happening as last 2 times they had major crossover events in the pipeline we had massive bugs and delays in the live game. If this time they decided to just push through it and release on schedule instead of extremely long delays of previous crossovers it would really make the increased amount of jank make sense.

I just wish the harpoon gun hadnt been nerfed. Its too limited with only 5 rounds of ammo. Using it is sweet! But boarding? The colision for the masts has been turned off. You can however harpoon onto the stairs from the water with a wave & good timing. The blowpipe & harpoon should be tools in game not weapon slots. I have met no players using them in PVP for this reason (not enough damage/ammo capacity) Using merfruit to stealth board players is very very fun! but maybe Merfruit should be a seperate food class. BTW - if we can have a third person camera view for chest hiding, why cant we have a third person cam in general? Or at least for the ships & rowboats. Glory to Flameheart.

I just wish the games servers and current optimisation werent so bad then i could get back into it since for me as an aussie i am getting constant +90 ping and thats with the best internet in my area but for other games I easily get >60 ping and the constant spikes of lag are not fun

They need to overhaul what they currently have, the devils roar is a beautiful example, the most hostile place is the most safest place in the game as no other crew will go there, if we get an improvement to the devils roar that’s the right track, an ashen sea fort, ashen skeleton camp, molten sands still has its unique spawn pre requisites, but we get an ashen Athena, ashen king loot, and an obsidian ashen lord boss or just an ashen lord, ashen ship battles, slight nerf to volcanos, morrows peak still remains somewhere you can’t spawn but instead this is where a new unique faction is located (the dark breathern) to give more of that region and incentive to go there, the shrouded ghost has a 0.6% higher spawn chance there, Tall tale poi’s The coral fortress becomes a unique world event outside of 1 tall tale, we now have the: coral siege, players have to clear 3 levels of enemies that come in a set amount of waves per level that gradually get tougher ie: lvl 1 mainly skeletons, phantoms and a skeleton lord to finish it, level 2: mermaids and ocean crawlers, level 3: 2 ashen lords, each level rewards you with loot that gets better so clearing level 1 could be a handful of coral captain chests, level 2 a hand full of coral king trinkets, level 3 an Athena/chest of fortune/coral chest of tribute. Tribute peak: the shores of gold, any pirate legend who has finished the shores of gold tall tales gets 3 new legendary voyages for the gold hoarders, merchants, and order of souls, akin to the tall tale itself, you solve various puzzles across the island for each company then when complete you get the crowning the loot of that company that will have a map beacon for all to see

Merrick was the one who gave us the very first expansion (The Hungering Deep) years ago, and all he has to show for him spearheading (hehehe, hunter joke) the game's growth is a statue at a renovated outpost. @@Cqat1I really wouldn’t say it was Nerfed it can stop fall damage it can grapple to all size ship decks still (that might just be if you own the ship) but I’ve deck shot from above no issue it’s great for ladder boarding of failed cannon shots and it’s under water shallows movement is unmatched so doesn’t sound that nerfed? 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@gamingbady5305 its straight up useless for boarding ships imo. only being able to grapple ladders makes it so you can still be easily guarded, boarding gally is easer, yes, but still useless cuz you can't even switch weapons so the most useful thing you can do is either to try and pistol spam a whole gally to death or to sword spam a gally to death, both of which wont work against any semi competent crew with comms. only thing its really useful for is for navigating islands for pve or tall tales, but only when you don't have to fight anything, as well as glitching into the gally hull or beneath for example fotd to steal the loot from underneath the vault into the out of bounds.

@ I would agree the ladder boarding at the top of the ladder can catch people off guard you avoid the boarding sound, you’ve got bone callers blunders and other things to use while you deck your ammo I’m not saying it’s perfect but it’s definitely not useless, I will say I’m not into pvp so I mainly use it for pve and it’s great I just think there is plenty of things to love about it you can grapple any deck of the ship btw it’s still possible so?

Bring us The Twisted Knife, the bounty hunter faction from the lore. Also happens to be my D10 guild. We've created our own lore as being partnered with reapers, seeking salty souls across the waves, with their loot as an added bonus. We even have a bounty board seeking specific scallywags, but any and all pirates are in danger.

I hope to GOD any story progression or tall tales they do add aren't crossovers. We need the conflict with Flameheart resolved first and foremost before any new crossover can be added. I personally feel like Flameheart should be defeated during the next set of tall tales, resulting in Ramsey realizing that his hyper focus on HIS view of the pirates life and the future for the Sea Of Thieves isn't so dissimilar to Flamehearts hyper focus on HIS view of a pirates life and the future of the Sea Of Thieves. Make Ramsey a bit disillusioned and have Flameheart ACTUALLY be defeated with the ominous warning that his flagship originally belonged to the mysterious Captain and BOOM you got a decent story wrap up and a stepping stone to the NEW and real enemies. And best of all, Flameheart JR is still around so HE can take over the Reapers Bones and let the Burning Blade world event still go on. THEN we can have a crossover tall tale with Peter Pan and FINALLY reveal that the captain is in fact the long theorized Captain Hook. Come On Rare. YA KNOW IT WOULD SELL!
