MASSIVE Train Haul! Pulling 70+ Cars on my O Scale Layout!

This was a lot of fun to do, and quite challenging! Should I do a larger train in the future? I wonder if we can pull 100 cars...

Awesome. Love stuff like this. I think I’ve maxed out at 42 due to having O54, it’s always a little stressful watching the cars start tilting around the turns! Awesome video

Wait a minute , there is a UP Deisel at the tail end . Is it helping 🤔. JD stucks didn't use a helper engine. Like yur lay out . 😊

Thank you! I had to use it because of the tighter curves on my layout. While the big boy could pull the 71 cars by itself, the weight of the train caused the lighter coal cars to derail often on my O72 curves

Well i guess i’ll have to pull out my MTH PS2 DM&IR yellowstone and see what she can max out at. Last time i had it out it was running conventionally at a little over 12 volts and it was pulling 63 cars without breaking a sweat. I could only imagine if it had a full 18 volts what it would do.

@@Sams_Trains, will do. I have to take the engine to the chicagoland lionel railroad club in order to do it because that’s where i ran it when it had 63 cars behind it. The whistle on that particular engine is ear piercingly loud.

What’s the problem you obviously have a good size space you could have laid down some real wide curves over there what happened?

I went with sharper curves, that's what I did wrong
