Since filming this video I have made a number of apartment tour videos sharing details of each room. Here is the link to that playlist: kzbin.info/aero/PLQrREIKFaWKen1IkR9sV_8rk641TKgi6c Thanks so much for watching and subscribing!

Your channel is great. You can tell you put a lot of work into your videos. That's why I don't understand how you don't have over 100k subs. It makes it obvious that KZbin buries people under the selected KZbin celebrity club. Such a shame, not only is your production much better than 90% of the big time youtubers, your content is also more interesting. Good luck with the channel, I hope it takes off for you.

Loved everything you got. I think you've got me hooked on those vintage magazines. I got my first lot of Women's Weekly 1950-60's and I absolutely LOVE them 🤗😍

Remember that whenever you are on vacation and you see something that you love, but do not have the room to bring it back home, most stores will ship it for you. And if not, you can always ship it home yourself. Thank you for sharing✌💛☺

SEE THRU..👗👗.. They ALWAYS ALWAYS wore slips.when I was growing up I had a whole drawer full of slips .
@vintagehomemaker93384 жыл бұрын
That was part of the style. They wore really lacey, embellished slips under sheer blouses.It was quite popular in the late '40's and early '50's. A lady always, always wore a slip!!

Ladies should STILL wear slips. It amazes me how many young girls I see wearing see thru skirts. They look like they just dont know better and a mother never introduced them to a half slip.

Oohh perhaps your planning a vintage day in the life video??? I'm sure it will be fun whatever it is! I'm especially loving the vintage Disney California tray! I remember seeing one a while ago while antique shopping; and that screwdriver is too funny! ✨ That's so funny, I have an April 1954 Better Homes magazine! I'm also constantly pulling inspiration from my vintage magazines & decorating books, I love them so much!

Great finds! Mid Century cleaning? How to clean my house and tips on cleaning vintage items. I bought short slips from estate sales and thrift stores. Never could find them new. Thanks! 🦌😊

Yes that ballerina is a cake topper. I had one with a pink dress and blonde hair when I was 8 and she came with a smaller one that had a blue dress on and brown hair. I played with them for a long time after blowing out my candles. Kind of funny I am seeing this today and today is my birthday!

Excellent haul! My trick with dresses that require a short slip is to roll the slip at the waist band to the right length and safety pin it to keep it at the length 😘

My goodness hon, picture discs? We called them Story Records back in the day! When you search for them you might use that term, some old timers may advertise them to sell that way. My favorite Disney Story Records came with a book almost as large as the record with a little snippet of the story to integrate song and image. And do not forget, most of the early films also generated paper dolls and such with equally enchanting art. Finally, you might find advertised lots of Little Golden books with Disney in the lot. Excess books are a great donation to a battered families shelter, or other help organizations. When I lived in a more urban setting I found a help organization which required folks to meet with a counselor at least once a month. The hot waiting room was packed with rows of chairs, with no water available and no child area. So, I found it easy to bring down a huge, happily decorated box of children’s books with a FREE sign on it at least once a month, and as many bottles of water as I could muster. No, I am not affluent. It was just the right thing to do. Archies music was often on a sort of paperboard, which was purchased by mail order . They also came that way as prizes in cereal boxes. They were quite fragile and barely played, but were well loved. Be careful with that type of 70’s comic! They dry out, darkening the paper further and eventually can come apart into confetti. Pre 1965 and post 1985 wear much better, paperbacks of all kinds from the 70’s are problematic. A young lady used to buy or make her slips, to fit just her, before elastic waists became popular in underthings. I highly recommend going to charity thrifts and flea markets for them. I would even find you some dear for very little and would give all the proceeds to charity. I am so sorry your book numbers are creating anxiety! Perhaps I will share a bit about that another day. Take care hon.

Just for future reference - if the place you're purchasing from doesn't have a shipping service, you can do a one-time pickup with UPS (like from your hotel room). It is literally how I moved from one state to another when I didn't have furniture - just stuff that could go in boxes! .... I LOVE VINTAGE MAGAZINES!!! In fact, I just moved my whole collection to an upright metal file holder, on top of a vintage cherry wood vanity table that has seen many magical tales of transformation since the late 40's :>

I’m so glad there aren’t a ton of comments so you’ll prob see this! I started watching your vids last week. I tried watching others this week and felt homesick for you! (And I’m hooked on Laci Fay too!) LOVE you girls! So. I live right outside Seattle. If you ever come back-and Portland-the Goodwill on Dearborn in DT Seattle is AWESOME! (Lots of homeless camps around there though right now!) ugh. AND in Portland, there is an AMAZING Goodwill too-like a whole aisle of cups, an aisle of plates…it’s AWESOME! And…Portland isn’t great right now though! But you gotta know! As for your Disney pic records? You could make your fave into a clock? Not sure if you thought about that. I had the cutest Belinda Carlisle album in the 90’s I did that with. It doesn’t hurt the album and you can enjoy the picture! Just get a clock kit at a craft store! You went to Fremont and other places in Seattle I’ve never even been to and I’ve lived here my whole *cough*cough* 50 years! LoL! Did you also know on Etsy, for sure, they make a reproduction Hawaiian barkcloth that isn’t too bad-I thinkkk usually $15-20/yard? And it’s sooo nice! I feel like you would like it! I have so much more to say-I’ll write another long winded comment soon! I have soooo many of the same things you do! And I have to say-you got me excited about souvenir plates and went to GW the other day and got 2 ADORABLE plates: Seattle and a Washington one with pink rim and gold stars on it. I’m so excited! I love how you have yours displayed!
