I was part of the QRF for this, pain in the ass to defend against such well coordinated infantry squads, never felt so oppressed in this game. With even more squads of cutlers teams to boot. Infantry? yeah cutler that, tank? yeah cutler that, AI? yeah cutler that. Thankfully you didn't get AI on the town base. ggs though, sick moves.

The battle for the yatch club was legendary, however, this naval invasion forced the defenders of terminus to leave, if they would have went onto allods attacked simo's run, and fought down to camp omnicron, and legions ranch the defending forces of terminus could have pressed the collies from both sides.

I just stumbled on this game recently and love the niche it fills, I plan to try it out once my schedule allows later this month. It turns out, war is hard! this was a great video showing how difficult it is to coordinate complicated operations across units, how important real discipline, training and division of labor are, and how essential sharing of information via clear communication is. And amphibious, multi-stage multi-unit operations are literally the most difficult in all of warfare. It’s very easy to be critical of those who participated for any number of reasons, but it goes to show you why militaries train the way they do. This was a treat to watch.

We landed in Terminus in W2 on Charlie, it went fairly well, I mean, we did eventually lose the beachhead, but we held our spot for several hours and caused a bunch of problems.

As someone who has way too many hours on this game, I gotta say, the skill issues hurt to watch (on both sides; noticed that one of the colonial tanks was unlocked). But as long as everyone had fun, that’s all that matters. Also, I know this was a heated operation. But they need to calm down with their comms lol. I don’t play during ops too often (I only play colonial on able shard) but I’ve almost never heard people get that heated before. They may get frustrated at best but it never gets that heated. That’s just from my experience though. Anyways, great video, Bear! It’s nice to see Foxhole in a cinematic perspective from time to time.

For real though I wish there was a feature that allows players to act like Generals commanding whole Army groups because from what I’ve seen so far all the players either act on their own or operate in clans and not work together all the time, not saying people don’t cooperate but there should be a system where a few random players are selected to be the leaders of their faction’s war effort and they make plans for operations and stuff for the lower echelons to carry out.

90% of the coms is not just superfluous, but sometimes even detrimental. It doesn't do anything except saturate the channel with verbal garbage and get some of the more excitable players killed. Generally you can't force things to happen by spurring people on. This isn't Braveheart. Foxhole is a question of method, not spirit.

Yeah even virtually, amphibious operations require absolute discipline. I guess that's too much to expect out of rando casual gamers, though everyone should really understand the amount of resources and effort it takes to organize an operation of that scale and respect that if they're going to take part. It would honestly have been better to leave with fewer numbers but with dedicated players, the landing was absolute chaos and the organizers sounded pretty resigned 10 mins in. The vast majority of player action was running in circles.

@@Bober_Kvrva I'm aware of the existence of this tactic as I have tried it myself, to no apparent success. I think it's definitely possible, with enough practice, to kill infantry using radio, if they are not moving and are close to some reference locations, like a tree or a foxhole or shell crater. However, there's no way these tanks can kill infantry on the move like we see in the videos, as the radio only updates every 5 seconds, which is not enough to track enemies movement, especially if they are changing the direction that they move.

I think on your next operations, you should lock coms on important commanders for each group only, and not with all of the nearest soldiers. All the chaotic screaming can sometimes induce paranoia, panic or even confusion that could lead to contradicting progression from your plans. Like we do on Eve Online or Albion Online, when we do raids/invading, I usually command and could only communicate with my 10-15 assigned vice commanders but I would not be able to communicate with the soldiers under them except through chat if needed, then those vice commanders could only communicate with me or with other vice commanders which they couldn't chat with the soldiers/players under other vice commanders except through chat if needed. That's how we eliminate the chaotic screaming and confusing orders amidst battles and clashes. Then on each plans, we have contingency measures like of Group D lost and failed in holding out, there will be a reserved group that will handle the hole in the formation. Then on every surprise attack, you should also consider another seperate group who will take position that will handle the incoming counter attack (this group should be built with everything that could help them hold their position long enough until reinforcements come). This way, other groups will be able to focus on their tasks without worrying for any stragglers or being pincered by a counter attack. And we would also have a unanimous rule that no one talks shit or nonsense during an operation like a "haha, that is funny!" If it's a nonsense, keep it to yourself, don't flood the coms with irrelevant reports. As I watched your video, I always get headaches whenever I hear someone making mocks, jokes, or even inaudible screeches or warcries that just made the coms confusing and very bad for my ears. I usually play solo on this game, but maybe I'll invite my groups again from Albion and Eve to this game.

Given the enemy's reaction time and the fact that they had artillery guns pre positioned nearby, push inland and getting distance from the beaches probably helped us last longer and digging our own graves at the beaches

He’s like a dog with a bone trying to get that 2nd white whale landed even though everyone is telling him it’s a bad idea. No one agrees with the suicide charge, he has a tantrum and goes quiet for the rest of the video. You think that’s good command? Everyone else was communicating excellently, great to see unit cohesion and cooperation on this scale. Looks like an awesome game with a good community. Enjoyed the video!
