I surfed the same spot 20 years ago back in my youth when there was a similarly big swell. There is something completely crazy about surfing whilst being completely surrounded by land wherever you look.

Sweet video man, do you ever surf the larger waves? Also how come you opted for the foamie and not the fish, were the waves that rolling?

Hey I’ve recently transitioned from a foamie to a 6’6 fish and have been doing some good turns recently however I’ve been struggling with manoeuvres off the white water ok the final section of the wave. Do you have any advice? I seem to be struggling to return to the wave after hitting the foam...

True story. Queens birthday swell of 93 or 94 me and my mate saw it breaking from the manly ferry. Jumped off and surfed it. Caused a bit of a stir water police came around but we just paddled deeper and kept surfing. Bloody awesome wave when it's 2 guys. Actually the better spot is in the background. Left's and rights. Beautiful wavw

Hey I’m an intermediate surfer trying to get better but I pop up on my knees any advice To stop this bad habit
@cnghiem674 жыл бұрын
Onshore, practice popping up onto your feet until it becomes automatic and effortless. I call getting up on your knees "the kiss of death". You won't progress any further than the beginner stage because you cannot get on to faster moving/ breaking waves. Once in the water pop up solely onto your feet. Belly ride the whitewater if you have to but when you are ready, only pop on to your feet. You have to break the habit of getting on to your knees unless you are intentionally only going to kneeride the wave. You must break the habit of going on to you knees. Then it is just a matter of practice and repetition until you can start popping up onto faster moving waves. Good luck and have fun.
