@@deathbloom27 Yeah I've seen the El Reno one, another monster, and today there was another huge wedge twister in Knox City, Texas. Tomorrow is an outbreak threat for central and eastern Missouri. They claim today's tornadic weather that took place out west and southwest of here, and usually weakins before it gets to central and eastern Missouri, will still be as dangerous as it was today. So tomorrow will be eyes to the skies and stay hopeful that the system breaks down. Best of luck to everyone, fingers crossed. 🤞

Scary Day for Iowa and Nebraska! Less than 30 miles from me. (In Iowa) Over 8 Tornados on the ground at the same time. (Different areas of the state.) So devastating. Round 2 tomorrow! The news and weather are already forecasting another STRONG storm in this same line tomorrow. 😢 I am not ready for this again.

We had a sketchy day in eastern Iowa early this week. Right overhead the clouds were black, low and moving in all different directions. Thankfully they moved through without incident, but was scary to see how easily a tornado could have developed.

That's why the 2013 El Reno tornado was EF3. but then they DID use radar to directly calculate wind speeds, so nobody even had to use the scale, but they did anyway without giving a second thought about the tornadoes potential.

Five bucks says the NWS will only rate this monster an EF-2 or 3. Meanwhile I was reading a radar windspeed of 180+mph, and the ground level wind speeds are typically 30-40mph faster than that given how far away the radar was.

You might find it interesting to know most large tornadoes of the past were considered to have much more violent wind speeds. Looking at the old Fujita scale, a F3 tornado had winds of 158 to 206mph. Any storm with damage caused by winds over 200mph today would get an EF5 rating.
@Kpciim
@Kpciim 12 күн бұрын
@@jcamp788 yea I heard about that a while ago it’s crazy to think that this can show how powerful these f5’s were if their f-5 wind speed is 261 if I’m not mistaken. There could’ve been so many f5 tornadoes that could be a candidate for worlds most powerful wind speeds
