The safe in the Aqua Star is accurate to the era. Titanic had several large safes in the boarding areas for valuables, cash, crew pay, and so forth. It is also where one of the few ship’s telephones were located. I highly recommend watching the livestream Titanic tours by Mike Brady over on Oceanliner Designs if you are curious about such things, Scrapman. So many things I didn’t know, and totally blew me away as he toured the ship. Ships like Titanic, Lusitania, and others also had an aft steering house as you found and drove from. They were used in ports and as a backup in case the primary steering systems were damaged or otherwise offline.

Hey ScrapMan, I just wanted to say that the flags on the Aqua Star are how ships communicate with each other. Each flag means something different. They aren’t country flags lol

For the aqua star build the helm on the back of the ship is known as a docking bridge. Very common for 19th century ocean liners. It's only purpose is for docking the ship in and out of port.

11:56 , no way scrap man missed the suspension mugs😂 I added this detail specialy for him and he walks by it 😂😂😂😂 16:11 Captain, and Navigators ,and the Chief Mate At the stern is the second wheel of the ship, used by pilots to stear in hardbords and other tight areas , giving you a more precise ideea of how the ship is moving (because on any ship , the stern is moving more than the bow when ship is changing position so verry eazy to hit something eith the stern if you are stearing near the bow section)

How long did it take to make that beast of a boat

@@sairadinnmichaelis , not gonna lie, but way less than anybody expects, day one I had no project in mind I spent 2/3 hours building random rooms, day 2 (another 4 hours) I made a row of rooms and decided to make a ship (I was initially going for another ship inspired by SS Nomadic) however changed plans and made 2 floors of rooms (i copied the same room) (this was the area between grand staircase and the storage room from the front of the ship) The true shape of the ship started to show up in the next day (day 3, 6/7 hours) expanding the storage area, building the two separate storage rooms, giving shape to the bow and completing the level 1 in the front also making room for staircase and building the rear rooms compartment (day 4 4 hours) , finishing the lowes floor overall and beginning the second one (no grand staircase yet) making the roof of level 2, giving shape for level 3 (the deck), and also finishing the stern (day 5 8 hours) made the first class section from the deck, the cover for storage, the rear steering house, the grand staircase, chicken, rear stairs, bathrooms under the grand staircase, also spending time to add more detail to the lower levels) (day 6 6 hours) made the dining hall, crane, and captain quarters with the wheelhouse added details to the bow, and the name on the sides smaller details, finished the roof of the staircase and chandelier, and gave the shape of the section underwater (day 7 4 hours) make it float add thrusters from movement, and enclose the button of the ship (2 hours), QA testing, improving the moment, looking for any missed details 2 hours (also adding the watertight doors during this time) late evening day 7, posted it on the workshop, with the story I made for it day 8, 1 hour, more QA testing, updating the ship and the story. However it may have been a bit shorter, I didn't clock it I just estimated.

14:41 , is an Ocean, OCEAN , liner, this type of ships were used for travel (like busses) before aiplanes existed , departing from a port from a country, traveling the OCEAN (since the name ocean liners) get to a port , and then go back with another passagers , and so, the mail room existed on most of ocean liners (even Titanic had) and was used to deliver mail from europe to usa

@@Adam_Boots and HMS stand for Her's Majestys Ship if i rimember corectly and ships that had Majesty in name were purchased thanks to a huge monetary help from the British Gouvernament , with the condition that that ship will enter military service , whenever needed This is also part of the storry , Aqua Star and the second sister were fully purchased by the company however the third one was pirchased based on a loan and it was the only ship from the 3 star sisters to use HMS and to do military service

Day 1 of asking Scrapman to do 2 things, 1. Please bring back workshop hunters, in the past you said that you don't like to deviate from your regular uploads much, and workshop hunters was what brought me to you channel and got me interested, and I am really missing workshop hunters. 2. Please try and do some more multiplayer Monday similar to the old multiplayer Monday you did, where there was a challenge and rather than building the challenges, build creations, one example I can think of that describes what I am thinking of is the one where you did Zero-G Tron with the antigravity mod and explosive spawners. Please and thank you

Its done with a wasd converter. Connect its 4 outputs to 2 logic Gates each. Add a switch to 4 of them and also the switch to an additional logic gate (setting on nor) connect that nor Gate to the ramaining 4 logic gates. I hope this helps :)

Logic gates and engines Use engines or controlers for forward and backwards move , and senzors do detect (u move something forwart in to a senzor , then the engine turns on, backaords to a senzor then another senzor turns on, like tank stearing, same thing for the stearing to) Now, instead of conecting this engines directly to the wheels conect it to a logic gate Split signal from 1 logic gate in two, and conect the switch to one of them and let in on and, to the second logicgate u need a way to make it stop sending signals when the switch is on and woalah, you made a double founctioning wasd

Does that include stopping power to the wheels while the boom is operating? Because I tried making a wasd converter but it did all fun tat once. (also very new to scrap mechanic and logic in general, so I'm still a bit dumbfounded by some of this)
