Ace has been rapping for more than 35 years. He always stayed active, never fell off and only got better. I can't think of any other rapper who's done that. There are legends who reached higher peaks early in their careers, but overall, looking at Ace's endless evolution, I'd call him the GOAT.

From "Take a Look Around" (1990) all the way to "Richmond Hill" (2024), Masta Ace has been a portrait of top notch lyricism, integrity and consistency. If you ranked MCs based on one factor - the strength of their catalogues - Ace would rank as one of the top 20 (and perhaps top 10) MCs of all-time. And as for Marco Polo, his neo-boom bap sound is phenomenal and when it's all said and done he'll go down as one of the greats as well.

I was 12 when I asked my Mom to buy me Soccer Boots. Her response was, 'Ah Ah No!' and when School's closed she got me a Job at the Supermarket. I worked there for a few weeks and managed to but the Boots and a Portable CD Player. That was back in 1996. Masta Ace the Music Man is TIMELESS.
