I did this last year to an old canvas I had. It is about half this size. I used left over spackle we had and some random navy blue and white acrylic paint. Once the spackle dried I put random blue designs here and there then I mixed some white into the blue paint to make it a shade lighter. I then added some of that color as well for slight variation. I wasn't excited about how it came out but then I flipped it and really liked it. Its been in my office ever since.

Happy Sunday Shanda! I have definitely upcyled artwork. I bought a really nice Michael's frame from Goodwill, took the cheap artwork out and it framed with a nice artwork piece. I have a canvas artpiecethat l'm not feeling anymore so l think I'll paint over it. I have some left over paint l need to use. I love the artwork, It gives a nice organic feel.
