When she said this i felt it. "There are a lot of things that we wish we were doing but the most amount of time we have dedicated is in scrolling somebody else's social media feed to be a little bit jealous of the success that they have found in that particular area that you have not even tried to do. "♥️♥️

@@madnessofmymind maybe jealous is too strong of a word -- social media has a way of making us feel inadequate because we aren't doing ALL the things or we try them and are terrible (aka beginners who need to invest time and effort).

I followed instructions from your first calendar blocking video. Been planning my life by the hour for about a year and a half. Within that time I aced a bunch of exams, did a lot of volunteer work, started a small online community and got into one of the most competitive dental schools in the country at 17 y.o (yes, in Indonesia you can do that). GAME CHANGER, thank you!

What would be fun (for me, at least! 🙃) as a next calendar blocking video, would be to dive into that 9-5 mega block and look at ways of making the best use of that time. I feel that a lot of folks, particularly in corporate environments, have partial control of their work hours; as in, they have deliverables to work towards, but some freedom on how to use their time to get there-and definitely no shortage of meeting requests, interruptions, etc. It'd be interesting to hear how you'd approach this! PS: Love the new background! ❤️

HOW DID YOU KNOW I NEEDED THIS SO DESPERATELY IN MY LIFE AHHH. Trying so hard to balance everything and blocking is the best, but fine tuning the process is tedious and I love watching even repetitive videos, updated videos about the same thing because it's like a skill, the more I take in the information the more I can learn, imitate, create. Thank you

I enjoy every single one of your videos. The humour, energy, pragmatism, and professionalism. Lesson for today.... find a partner who will bring me wine. Good advice. Good to know....good to know..... oh oops, and of course the calendar blocking thing. When the calendar tries to get past me, I go high and right, drop my shoulder and hit hard, rewriting my schedule all over the calendar's face.... got it, got it.

I cannot believe I only came across your channel now, in 2023! I am so inspired! I love making lists, planning and organising (type-A personality). I have a question though... Isn't it a waste of time to schedule things you need to do, when you could use that time to get tasks done instead? I am asking because I take forever making lists that I don't even complete :(

The glass "half full" or "half empty" thing always drove me nuts as a kid... because, in my mind, there was a question that came first (despite being an obliger and not a questioner) "did you fill it up or pour some out?..." because if you're filling it up, it's half full and if you're pouring it out, it's half empty. :) But that's just how my brain works... and it's also why I was thrilled to learn how to "reframe" a situation - because then, even if you're pouring stuff out of the glass, it can still be a positive thing!

Something I'm rapidly learning as a mom that when I say is gonna be so obvious but took me years to realize: plan tasks that can be interrupted (like cleaning up) while kids are home/awake and the rest when you have help or they aren't under foot. I still get mad sometimes at the barging in to tell me something random (which happened while writing this 🤦🏻‍♀️) but I'm getting alot more of the high attention tasks done. My kids are 6yo and 13yo jsyk.

I have a dilemma in calendar blocking that I'd love your input on! I am a HUGE fan of it and have been doing it for years. I've been trying to convince my very very busy boyfriend to try it out as a way to feel less overwhelmed and in a jumble all the time. HOWEVER....he has a job where sometimes he will work until 6pm and others he won't be done until midnight and he has no idea what it will be until it's happening. How would you recommend scheduling that on a calendar?
