To be fair, the mech has safety systems designed into it and it was done with a large budget and long development time. The mini hog, although awesome, does not have the safeties or development time to be considered safe in a convention with many people. Plus the fact that the mech takes time to get into and start, the mini hog you can just sit and drive in seconds which is a safety hazard. There are many rules and reasonings behind the decision, and ultimately security made a good choice in the perspective of safety for everyone involved.
