I somehow understand why some people are cheaters. They are basically losers, so cheating make them perhaps feel like not being losers, but they only make things worse. I have more problems with people who defend cheaters. I remember once a video where a GM was explaining why he was convinced that a guy was a cheater, winning against GMs and winning tournaments, Boris something. Basically all strong players knew the guy was cheating. A lot of people (from the same country ) were nevertheless defending him, saying that it is well possible that he was lucky, finding moves that only a strong engine would play. This is so pathetic.

I mean you not telling people who you are is the best option. Studies show that when you know you are under a study, you act differently. So people knowing they are playing against you would hurt this whole thing as they would not play like they regularly play. Also people who cheat in chess or any game, I feel like they enjoy more someone else losing than them winning. If they cared about winning they would try to improve. Whatever the guy was so bad he missed like 3 or 4 mates in one once he started playing lol. @groverclinton10813 жыл бұрын
@@joostvanrens It is less educational in the sense that we don't get to see how the typical mistakes that players of a certain rating range make, and how to capitalize on those. A 1400 ranked player would want to know what mistakes s/he or her typical opponents make, not how to play against a super GM (stockfish). That's the whole point of speedruns - explaining gameplay at every level. The cheaters ruin that - if all the players he encounters in this series are cheaters, then it is not a speedrun, but a series on how to play stockfish. I don't get how it's fun for the cheaters either, it's like riding a motorcycle in a running event, what's the point?

I don't understand either what gives a cheater it's pleasure, but on the other hand it also doesn't feel good loosing to a smurf account.

Thank you so much for these videos. I love how you explain your thought process. I'm new to chess and I was "stuck" at 1200 lichess rating for a long time but now climbed to 1400 by watching these videos mainly

Id love to see more games of you playing 1.b3 in this series! I am very interested in this opening and was a bummer when you finally played it and opponent was cheating

that reassuring THUNK when Danya slams down his drinking vessel. It means I am learning.

That's a very strong player for that kind of rating. I sense the performance was around 3300, except near the end with Qg2+? instead of Qf2+!

There is not much difference between a smoorf and a cheater from the perspective of their opponent. A smoorf complaining about cheaters is kind of funny

22:19 "Nobody plays this move." (Qg2). Ha, ha, ha, he just did. :) He literally had to be a nobody to play this move, though. :)

I actually just kept thinking Qe8 was also to disrupt your attempts to get in b4 by threatening to capture the a pawn with the Queen-Bishop battery

You can clearly see the moment when Danya drops the instructor hat and chess gets serious! (and it's impressive to me!)

I have probably played many cheaters who I don't know are cheating because I'm too bad to realise getting rolled by a good player and getting outplayed by a computer. Ignorance is bliss 😅
@rawdaaljawhary41743 жыл бұрын
I can't believe it took a lot of explaining that this was cheating. People seemed to be giving him flack on the chat and asking him to explain how this is cheating over and over. He did a good job of holding his own and explaining that it's not about intelligence but a type of logic that exists in the position but is not human.

Dude the way the quality of play dropped off a cliff as soon as Danya gave up his Queen was a dead giveaway.

That checkmate attempt was actually embarassing. As soon as he stopped cheating & started playing it was painfully obvious, his real rating was probably mid-range 3 digits

9:40 would bishop a3 work ok there? Edit: Stockfish says yes! Always a good confidence boost to guess good moves.

That stalemate just proves everything. It was getting obvious because of the super committal but perfectlt\y restrictive pawn moves. Played in 3 seconds each…
