Here in the East, we have all private land, no claims at all. There's still plenty of gold in states like Vermont in particular. Unfortunately, their rules dictate a "Sluice Permit "(private land written permission) and as far as high bankers, rules state "No Mechanical Means" (not legal) we would really love to overturn that line in their state rules enforced by both ANR and Fish and Game. Tree huggers would object to any changes not in the left's favor.

I’m in tuolumne county. From what I take from the info. When I find an open piece of ground my best bet is to start the process of filing thru the county recorder?

Im stuck on tye discovery aspect. 1. How do you prove you found something valuable. Do you have to have proof ie gold. What if the area already has expired mines. 2. How do you go find something thats open if the mslr system doesn't show status correctly? 3. Inside the smallest box on the mslr there are like 8 claim numbers but it doesn't show their boundaries inside that small grid. 4. Can you mine a lode on your placer claim if you find a seam? 5. If you can pan for discoveries without a claim why do you need one besides to keep others off your minerals? Can you mine legally without having a claim. If its open to mining?

Im at the 5 min. break and I just found my first major issue and the very reason I found this channel. The MSR w3bsite is utter garbage and bugs out everytime I try to move the map. Ive tried to figure out how to move it but then it jumps all over the place. Twice Ive made it to the valley I need to check on foe claims but if I even look at it wrong it'll spaz out and I have ti start all over..... also it jist gives numbers of ckaims and doesn't show their boundaries inside the fucking box... what good is that. Ive spent 5hrs on this shit website and still dont know anything 😒

Make sure to use the MLRS on a desktop with Mozilla Firefox and you won't have any issues.Make sure you have great internet connectivity too.

@@prospectingbuddy yeah it works at home and it has more functionality if you have a account and are signed in. Still partially useless without the claims boundaries. Inside some of the boxes theres like 8 claim numbers... How the hell can you tell if that whole box is taken up? Or what parts left... incredibly frustrating.

@@jgm9927 Well, considering the taxpayers usually end up footing the cleanup bills from bad behavior, I am fine with tight regulations and high fees. But, yeah, the antigovernment rant is not what I came here to listen too. I keep skipping ahead and it keeps on going - sigh.
