The pace of the video is excellent. It's great how you first explained all the concepts and then showed how to apply each of them!

crazy how it can be frustrating when it's not doing what you want but then you come here and learn how it really works and all of a sudden it makes sense. of course i had random transparency cause i used a mask and i should have used a clip. doi. This is day 2 of learning a vector program and it feels very powerful with a ton of options for design.

Great work,,, though it is confusing, watching it to accomplish my skills in clipping & mask,

It definitely takes some practice to get the hang of it all.

The odd grouping of a single object/image is what I was missing. The clipped thing needs to be grouped to apply a transparent gradient for instance. I wasn't grouping the clipped object and my image would disappear.

Hello, I'm your student on Udemy, tell me something, I saw that in this tutorial you are not using the current version of Inkscape, why? Do you recommend using another one?

Hello! I'm using version 1.2.2, which is currently the latest version. Does yours look different?
@tanoo69 Жыл бұрын
what's the difference between clip and clip group? I didn't understand well
@SweaterCatDesigns Жыл бұрын
Clip groups use clipping, but you can also add more objects to the group and they will be clipped as well. To add more objects with normal clipping, you would have to first release the clip, select everything, then set the clip again.

Inverse clip doesn't work..... it just clips
@SweaterCatDesigns Жыл бұрын
It works, but only on shapes and paths. It doesn't work on things like images and groups of objects, unfortunately.
