Yesterday I uploaded a pic of the Union Jack to ChatGPT and asked who the prime minister is for this country. The answer I got? RISHI SUNAK. Now I have trouble trusting ChatGPT.

All AI chatbot make mistakes and therefore one can not blindly trust everything. You need to cross check answers carefully. Incase if doubt you can give prompts like "Think again" , "Reconsider your answer", or "Take a break and answer me carefully".
