Most logical reason is this entire scene is actually based on true incidents that happens regularly and most often the perpetrators are sons of politicians, top business people, corporate figures, high ranking government servants, uniformed personals and of coz thier friends from middle-class and low income families.. so,in this scene itself the 2 accused male students are from high society. Its obvious that the film unit got to have been pressured by powerful sections to remove it to avoid people to stand up and take action similarly like this. No other logical reason to remove such an excellent scene.

actually no, lokesh stated in a intervew that he deleted these scenes as to reduce the movie's length, and it didnt add anything to the story dont get me wrong it had a great point, its a great scene which is needed today, but it didnt change the overall story in any way other than giving a slightly more reason for the love interest of her for JD
