diviner is use to send kelbek or agido, to mill your deck, so its necessary..

I think this runnick cards was a bad decision. In this meta I feel sorry for everyone try to play another deck than runnick variation. But after bad comes worse. When tearlament arrived, the next crap floated the meta. Before runnick I think master duel was finally a good game with more different decks. After runnick it feels like 80% runnick variation and it's only fun for the runnick player

if you new, you can get gems by playing in rank duel, and also do some solo story as well, each story will give u 200 gems, plus hidden achivement that will give you more gems as well, usually new account will get around 6-7k gems, might be more

if you are new, you can spent 1500 gems and buy 3x a structure deck, the one that I recommend is salamangreat, its a newbie friendly deck

If you are new in Master Duel and you missed the Runick pack I recommend you to save gems for next month (Ishizu Tearlaments are gonna be tier 1 or tier 0). Only craft the Ishizu cards on the current pack, don't buy them. If you already have sprights try to stick to it and don't craft Runicks.
