You are such a don. Just found out I can get rosemary brushes quite cheap here in the UK, some of the in depth review of these brushes are really great and watching you use them in every video with such amazing precision has finally persuaded me to actually get some high quality brushes.

Love this video, I have painted the original miniature and enjoyed painting the raised details that the banners have. you have inspried me to make a all plastic Prince Yriel and paint the banners free hand. I love Babylon 5 Wars miniature game but did not get to play Call of Arms. Can you please do a painting video of a Minibari Sharlin Cruiser as the colour pattern is very subtle between each hue.

I think I really need better brushes, none of mine hold such a reliable thin tip as yours do here. They seem to split once I actually make more than a touch or two, or gather tons of paint that it sits in a "ball" on the end or explodes in watery spreading. (Which maybe is just me needing to learn to thin better though!) The sketch phase looked really handy though, one of those "never thought about it but it seems obvious now I've had it shown!" things, thanks!
@JuanHidalgoMiniatures2 жыл бұрын
Sometimes it's not the brush but the brush-ER so to speak. Learning how to properly control and use a brush is sadly something I cannot really teach you through a video. If you want to try the brush I used here I have a link to it in the description Rosemary and Co series 33 size 3
@saiancantin76672 жыл бұрын
I am a noob painter, but i noticed the synthetic brushes i use all get wasted, split ends, bent ends etc... but somehow the kolinsky (davinci) stay nice and pointy.
@JuanHidalgoMiniatures2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, because synthetics are crap
@Retrosicotte2 жыл бұрын
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures Thanks. I may check them out. A lot of it I think is just me still learning proper pallet and thinning procedure, so the paint's got bad thickness or is too thin on my part. Time and experience I guess, I'm still happy with what I'm doing, just thinking about the 'next stage' of learning I guess. Freehanding was one ,so this video's been very helpful.
