23:06 Absolutely stunning property! IMHO you need to walk while taking the video and show the things he is talking about, instead of just watching you standing on one place and hear him talking about the rest of the garden, the video needs a better structure, just found your channel and the places you have shown us are just beautiful, the sound is a little off sometimes, just keep working on structure and sound also on editing. Beautiful channel, beautiful places, can’t wait to see the next garden tour!

The garden is beautiful so thanks for inviting us along. As you continue your work, please keep in mind that gardeners watching are extremely interested in the specific plant being discussed, so some b-role of the varieties would have helped. Keep doing what you do! I'm glad I found your video ❤

This couple has great style - I love how Doug's outdoor aesthetic aligns so beautifully with Kathy's indoor design. They seem like a great pair! And that 150 year old tree is killer! I appreciated learning how he takes care of it and seeing how he admires it.

Your videographer needs to show what Doug is talking about. A lot of the time the focus is on the gardener and hosts instead of what they are talking about. A lovely yard though! I get lots of inspiration from watching.

Love the layers of hedges in front , with the mature trees. I love shade so this is so beautiful to me. I would love to learn succession planting for color throughout the year. That red oak tree is pure magic. I could build a home and garden just around that tree! I agree this is one of the best garden tours ever! The many gorgeous roof lines in white, against all those green trees is stunning! All the seating areas, the knot gardens, the potted plants... just stunning! Thank you so much Mr McCabe.

Such a beautiful house and delightful gardens. I adore spaces outside that are like little rooms. Which you find as you wander around the garden. The ‘stone mushrooms’ are called ‘Staddle Stones’ and were used to raise grain stores and larders off the ground to prevent vermin and water damage. I have one in here in my garden which was a wedding gift and has a brass sun dial on the top. Sheena (uk) xx

Beautiful and well maintained garden. My favorite rose is Climbing Pinkie for a trellis. It's a repeat bloomer that puts on a show from Spring-early December. They're especially beautiful if you train them to grow horizontally. And Blush Drift Roses, also a repeat bloomer, to create a large area of ground cover. I have a fern that my grandfather planted in the 80's and it's still going strong. I put them in the garage to winter also and do have to split it every 3 years or so but that just means more ferns!

One of my favorite quotes from a master gardener -- Doug McCabe -- : (context, I'm 71, my mother's 93, she lived with me ages 90, 91, 92, now 5 min away with my sister + her husband): "These trees are like old people, ya hafta look after 'em, feed 'em, get 'em their vitamins ..." and so on. The huge-calipered Red Oak, big, old, lovely tree. McKinney, Texas; Kathy McCabe, Doug McCabe. USDA gardening zone: 8a (10°F to 15°F) and 8b (15°F to 20°F). [the exact same zone I reside in -- now, I have no excuses]

It’s amazing to me how many people have amazing trees and lose them because they never trim them, he is a role model for how to keep your historical trees ❤. I have a large beautiful maple, and bought the home last year and it hadn’t been trimmed in years, someone had topped it at some point 🤦🏻‍♀️ hire an arborist and care for your trees
