Welcome back and I love the tip with the chisel. The venting really adds the realism to the kit and I love Stardust Memory, and it looks amazing. Now I need to work on more of the kits from the series!

Thank you!! It's a great older release - probably my favourite generation of MG kits to work on - there's a lot of actual modeling work to do balanced out with some Bandai convenience. Nowadays I personally find MGs a bit boring, the technology is so good all you have to do is assemble, no real need for using the ol' brain and being creative. At least not the way I want to be 😅

@Liam's Hobby Room true there! My favorite kits are real grades with the occasional master grade here and there. But you're right, it's amazing how much they can cram into kits these days detail wise.

hi. nice build. bdw, what mod have you done with the hole at both the arms where the shield plugs itself? mine falls out easily..
@LiamsHobbyRoom19 күн бұрын
Oh mine falls off too, I should have installed a magnet to help with that, but the thought didn't occur to me at the time!

Hi Liam, great work on this kit! Is there any pro tip on how to make a kit doesn’t look too “plastic shine”? Did you do anything to the GP03S before the paint job? Thanks in advance
@LiamsHobbyRoom2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply! If you aren't going to fully paint your kit, the best way to make it look nice is to panel line it and also spray it with flat clear coat. Just be sure to remove all the clear pieces first and put them on after you spray!

Hi! could you tell me what paints you used on the exhaust nozzle and elaborate on the process? my plan was like prime it black gloss varnish it maybe sand it do the metal layer I have some vallejho metal paints, seal it do some weathering with Tamiya weathering D set seal it and call it a day, but I'm a beginner and guessing so there is probably a faster and better way, Thx best regards
@LiamsHobbyRoom Жыл бұрын
Certainly! By exhaust nozzle, do you mean thrusters? I actually didn't do anything special with them: 1.) Primed in black (I didn't even use gloss this time) 2.) Painted with very light coats of Mr. Color Gunmetal (keep your airbrush moving, don't stay in one spot too long) 3.) Gloss coated the whole kit(I use Mr. Super Clear III) then applied decals where appropriate 4.) Panel lined with black and brown oil paint. 5.)clear coated with Mr. Super Smooth Flat And that's really it!

What chisels are you using? I need a good starter set! Keep the videos coming, great content, you deserve a wider audience!
@LiamsHobbyRoom2 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! The set I'm using is the cheapest of the cheap, linked below. The blades are passable but the handles, my God, the handles are AWFUL. They're brittle and made of craptastic plastic. I should have gone with my better judgement and just bought a set from DSPAIE or the like. My recommendation is to get the set just for the blades, and get a DSPAIE or Madworks handle to use with them! www.amazon.ca/Nipper-Gundam-Carved-Scribe-Cutting/dp/B0868JGKWK?pd_rd_w=uPDqd&content-id=amzn1.sym.a4aa9a8b-9256-45ad-93d8-46e9fae70bbf&pf_rd_p=a4aa9a8b-9256-45ad-93d8-46e9fae70bbf&pf_rd_r=QBEQ5B8CRB1F5K09VSQ4&pd_rd_wg=x7yXR&pd_rd_r=e675dc4a-0831-494e-98fb-cb2a4f6c750c&pd_rd_i=B0868JGKWK&psc=1&ref_=pd_bas_bia_rpt_ba_s_1_sc
