Ah this will make another fine addition to my collection.. of liked videos. And, man I had no idea you could just snipe those guys through the walls at 5:35. Also, they probably give you that Megasphere towards the end for the Arch-Vile (or they could just be trolling since they know the level is almost over haha), but it's not like one Arch-Vile is much of a threat for BMD.

I think when Kirsten Klie made his levels simply thought he was doing these maps as a continuous playthrough at the start. Thus the big stuff at the end. Catwalk in particular.

This map's alright. I think it's better to just leave the Pain Elemental alone and just move on and then come back for him later. He will usually stay inside that room blocked by the elevator from one side and by the bars from the other side, therefore he can't really go anywhere.

Honest question: Do people enjoy these key puzzles in Doom? I feel like there is some small set of people that enjoy them and the rest of us are just wandering around an empty map pointlessly wondering which switch will lower this key which seems to be about 2 feet off the ground, yet cannot be reached.

Not sure if you take requests for these, but I have an idea for a challenge video. Doom II The Spirit World 100%, pistol start, and no invulnerability. It's definitely one of the toughest maps in the game to pistol start and no invulnerability should only enhance the difficulty. >:D

On the Playstation Doom master levels is an actual game. I'm trying to pass it on pistol start and the ultra violence difficulty as you. I've made it to level 15 Mephisto's Maosoleum,I can't wait until you also play it.

Going back and revisiting some of the Master Levels myself recently and I have to say I really don't enjoy this map. The layout is somewhat interesting but it's definitely got a host of issues. The teleporter with the acid trap is just stupid and I will always dislike any map that uses inescapable acid pits as "gameplay". The main hub room is far too narrow and cramped considering the pistol start and the limited supplies off the bat. The elevator that leads you down to the lower parts is really frustrating as I have had many playthroughs where the pain elemental body blocks my access onto that floor and I have to waste time riding it up and down to take small shots at him until he moves out of the way.

Good ol Doom Master levels. I was able to play Master levels on my older PC set up through Steam but built a new computer and now the game crashes in DOS box before the game even boots up not sure exactly why. Is anyone else having this problem? Great levels that i would love to play. Two thumbs up!

Why save the megasphere for the end? Maybe someone who is able to 'speed run' the level could whip through it, grab the sphere and then go back to kill the rest of the enemies.

A close friend of mine told me that apparently Jerry Sr, "Rooster", lives in a town about 20 miles southeast called Deer Park, and that Jerry Jr would go down to Houston and work at Arco for a few months out of the year to have cash to dump into the band while they worked on the songs he had written. (This was before they got signed.)

Of course, Elora and I talked about how hurt Jerry was when he found out about Layne Staley's untimely passing. On a lighter note, we also talked about how Jerry lived in the Dallas area for a while, and how he knew the Abbott Bros from Pantera (a few songs from the "Vulgar" album are MIDIs in the classic Doom games that we all love and play.)

I hate exactly four of the Master levels and they're ironically by Klie and by Cranium. Ironically, two by each. This is one of them. All in all, this level is really stupid and has some areas which somehow don't make sense. They all interconnect eventually which is stupid. At least the level poses some challenge - an arch-vile in the end, one of the few levels like that. But design is weak. It reminds of a TNT Evilution map, but... An ugly TNT Evilution map. At least it's not as filled with gunners.
