柔道というか、、、本格派のそれこそ「合気道」というべきか、「空気投げ」 なんて聞くと「呼吸投げ」とか、空と瞬間と円運動を利用した素晴らしい動きです。

I agree 100% that stretching does help slow the process. Diet is also a factor. The Taoist mind says that "man must do two basic things to live, that is movement and consumption". Performing the correct movements and posture and consuming the correct sustenance will improve the quality of health.

You can see a lot more of the koryu influence in his techniques what with the smaller moves as opposed to the larger circles as in aikido. I like it a lot, very different from the judo you see today.

The better term for "natural ability" would rather be more acceptable if it is called the "ability to learn faster than others", I believe. what is natural is to adapt and learn faster with little practice. If one practice less his physical skills to react, counter or see an opening becomes rusty. His mind might see but his body cant' cope. I am over 50 years old now, there are moves I can only think about that I can efficiently perform 15 years ago.

He entered a police station to report that 4 men had attacked him and tried to take his gold watch, attached to his waistcoat. AberrantBJJ, Kano visited O-Sensei Ueshiba's (the founder of Aikido) dojo, and was very impressed. He said, according to some: "this is real judo!" They met often after that, and Kano let his best students stay at the (Iwama?) dojo for half a year.
