It's a parody of old self-help videos. The internet really did use to be that slow during its early years. In fact, in those days, even the fastest (yet ridiculously-slow by nowadays standards) dial-up speed of 56KB/s were unavailable at the time.

I used to have a copy of "Internet for Dummies" book that I received when I bought my first PC in 1998. I remember it was a Pentium 200 with 32 Edo Ram. The "Dummies book" really is for "dummies" the way it help you step by step.

I appreciate a well produced authentic looking "period piece" and pound for pound, this is more accurate and impressive than Lincoln.
