I always thought Blake and Hillage were a match made in heaven - I wish they'd done more together.

Steve Hillage was from Gong but just wondering....are there any even vaguely original members of Hawkwind in this vid? Looks and sounds like a tribute act.

You have Dave Brock (stage right), as about as original as you can get, as he is a founding member and considered "The Captain". Stage left you have Tim Blake (Moonweed). It really depends on what you call "original"

They’ve never really had a steady line up as such. People come, people go, then they drift through again. First time I saw them (89) Lemmy turned up for a few tracks, he left the band in 75 or thereabouts. Last time I saw them Hew Lloyd Langton was back on stage, he left after the Isle of Wight festival I think (and Arthur Brown was there too!). Dave’s the only founding member still in the band, and has been for years. Ex members must number in the dozens by now.

It's pretty hard to have most of the original members because half of them are dead, Lemmy, Hugh Lloyd Langdon, Bob Calvert, Dik Mik, now no longer with us. Dave Brock has been the only permanent member of Hawkwind.
