This game seriously blew my mind as a kid. Coming from the Atari 2600, a deep "Metroidvania" style game like this was unlike anything I'd ever experienced. I had no idea what this game even was and I had no idea what to expect, since I only ended up owning a copy after my family bought an SMS used with a ton of games through a classified ad.

I thought there where more games, maybe only in Europe then. But to get back at this maybe he was a kid in the year 2000 when Mastersystem games where really cheap?
@SimonvCleef8 жыл бұрын
It is very unlickely that a kid in 2000 was interested in the master system. That was the end of the 5th gen and almost the beginning of the 6th gen with consoles like PS2 / XBOX / Gamecube. There weren't even that many collector's yet. There wasn't really a collector's community or something like retro gaming at least not for generations of 3th and onwards. I think he said that he had 90 games in the 3th or 4th gen. That would probably be a bit much. Even halve of it would be a lot of games. They were more expensive back in the days (before 2000 and onwards).

Heres a small story for you guys. When I was young me and my friend were playing this at my house on master system. We were in the main town area and i remember telling him that i found a super amazing secret door that took you straight to the last boss. I was completely lying and he did believe me either, so i randonly said "watch this" and pressed up on the gamepad. A secret door opened and we warped to the pirate boss (i think). Our jaws hit the floor! Years later i realised i had, out of pure chance, pressed up on a secret door while i was lying. Will neve forget that moment, what were the odds!

never have i played a game that was as much fun as this, nor feature all those RPG elements on a master system game. Some came somewhat close, but this had everything i wanted in a game. The start from Human to Lizard is a great way to set up the rest of the quest, at the first time of playing i didnt know i would get turned into a lizard man xD After eventually doing the mummy dragon for the first time i was amazed to see the mouse man, and it was genius of the game devs to make each character have unique abilities, this was way ahead of some games in terms of implementation. So i got my mouse and climbed those checkered blocks and eventually found the samurai dragon, after a couple of tries i realised it would be a lot easier from now on having worked out the armor system and found a lot of secret shops, and each character prefers different armor, its like the armors are made to measure xD and it was so cool to be able to equip something to improve a certain stat, like from pirrahna to lion, the lion has the highest charm stat, but the right armour will make him irresistible to trade and you can buy all those magic or thunder swords you needed this entire time so you could go back to the town hub and get into the last area before the final area as the hawk man xD Wonderful game and i will never forget how disappointed i was as a childthat i couldnt carry on playing as the human after beating the vampire dragon.
