FIND THE MIRACLE BALL ------- AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! Whenever I play this game, I simply let Alex Kidd die, fall and lose all of his time just to hear this scream! No wonder this was a huge step down to the arcade version (the arcade version is better than this, but we still have the annoying scream.), as well as the classic "Miracle World" game! That is why yesterday, we riffed at this game because of the infamous scream.

This is one of those Sega games I made an unwise gamble on. Despite what the Gamepro magazine rated it, I bought it anyway. Ya know,because I loved miracle world so much. This game sucked so bad, yet the characters on here were so freakish I had to keep playing just so I can see how much freaker they would get. It sure didn't disappoint. On top of being one of the most easiest Sega game to beat. It gave me frigging nightmares, I'll never forget the naked butt skull shooter!! This was clearly the creators big middle finger to Sega upon an impending termination lol!! Well played, well played!

In the years after his glory days, Alex Kidd's instability and fame promptly go to his head, leading to his disgraceful conviction for public indecency charges after a gigantic coke and acid bender at a shady celebrity party. His reputation ruined, he retired from Sega in shame and was never seen again. Alex Kidd now often frequents late night infomercials, selling slapchop ripoffs and other such things and being forced to make jokes at his own expense by the cruel producers.

Wait a minute...this is the Master System? It looks like that strange arcade game that saw limited release...I want to say 1988 a few months before Altered Beast and the 16-bit deluge in 1989 (Genesis, TG-16, TG-16 CD ROM ROM). Addendum- On second thought the blue granulation in the sky is a dead giveaway for an 8-bit console. They also did this with early 16-bit titles where you can see lighter shades next to darker ones buy it comes off as bars. When developers really started taking advantage of the Genesis they learned how to blend it so the skies seem seamless.

This would probably be the best Alex Kidd game if you could... just... bloomin'... punch! I always felt like Sega never had a core with Alex Kidd from the start. Each game feels too wildly different from the others. Seriously, they kept trying wacky ways to make a different platformer from the next, but miss the mark on them all. That said, it's still my favourite one, annoying "AHHHH!" sound chip aside. It's very colourful and very creative. I just wish you could do something other than walk, doge and repeat. Tighten the difficulty, give me a way to fight back, and this platformer would be absolutely gold, no doubt about it.

Actually you can collect the S icons which gives you the ability to shoot and kill enemies... Whoever played in the video just didn't figure that out at all.
