Your base image for segment anything had a convenient basic background. But how does it perform when t's a complex background? EDIT: Ah, scratch that. I tried it myself now. Both extensions work quite well. I got some white blurry border around my text subject with your settings, even at mask blur 30 (any higher and it would cut into the character). But got it solved by what you did in your second part with the border regeneration around the character. Nice. Can save a ton of work. And other than the plugins for masking I complained about in earlier videos, those here make sense to me to really reduce work. I guess to really make the character be "in the scene", including matching the lighting situation of the background, it could be good to do an img2img generation for the whole image with very small denoise. Just to smoothing things out. But I did not try that yet.

I guess that depends on what your ultimate goal is. It actually handles complex backgrounds pretty well. Designating a different color for each object. It may not get super tiny things because that's not the way it's designed. But it'll catch a lot of things.

With forge you can also try layer diffusion exremsion that can generate transparent backgrounds and is able to create foreground and background independently

Depends on what you're doing. What this gives you is the ability to blend the edges and the rest of the subject into the surrounding scenery a lot more naturally as it will incorporate lighting effects shadows and various other components that would help the subject look more natural in the same. You'll see in the video that I use Gimp to put the subject into a background, but I use the AI to change and blend it better.

What if you don't want to change the outfit?

Changing outfit only happens in the last step because I'm masking only the face and hair. If you want to mask the entire body you can but what I would do is leave a little bit of an exposed edge around the body so that the AI has a little bit of a chance of blending it properly with a background. You can also make sure that you are describing the same clothing in your prompt
