This is brilliant. I am a pretty good striker…I am also a swing thought guy, not a check list but a thought. I know my takeaway is key and the root of my bad strikes… my swing thought is now ‘create space’ and it works!!! I am an older guy still poking a 7 iron, with weak lofted irons, out past 170 yerds and this swing thought has helped my consistency. Thanks Mark!

Mark love the videos. They say 10,000 reps is what’s needed to create a habit. What is the one thing you would recommend for amateurs (for full swing, 10,000 putts is a given lol) to rep at home 10,000 times for better golf. Thanks for all the help.

Started to lift my left heel off the ground today on the back swing, gained 15yds, unbelievable.

Needed this, this is what my swing looks like... think I start with the left arm and don't turn until arm is across the chest. Trying to figure out how to get rid of this, will try these. thank you!

Useful that. I'm curious your opinion on how vital it is to learn to swing from the inside. Everybody is trying to get shallow. I'm over the top a touch & can easily work the ball both ways with control. What's the benefit to changing? Great video Mark, thanks for pearls of wisdom.
@ndnd1671 Жыл бұрын
Over the top is more about timing. Staying on plane or shallowing you don't need to time as much, just get it on plane and let the body do the work It's little easier and more consistent

What if I get to the top correctly but when I start the backswing my right arm bends at the elbow causing my left hand to bend as well. Is it because I start the downswing incorrectly?

Tried all that doesn't work for me, all it feels like is picking up the club with arms no rotation
@Coreadrin Жыл бұрын
pushing your trail shoulder back so your lead shoulder is lined up with your ball at the tope feels like no rotation!!??

I'm curious how you got your weird backswing action.. Snapping the club up with your wrists super quickly is opposite of any tour pros action.. That action looks like a 20 handicapper, which you obviously are not, so it just goes to show that it really doesn't matter if you repeat an action no matter how bad it is, you can groove it. Also Jack Nicklaus the greatest player ever teaches the best way to have a consistent backswing is to keep your legs static at address and then feel like your backswing pulls your left leg and knee towards the golf ball when your flexibility makes it happen automatically at the same spot each time! It eliminates another variable of you trying to time your hands and leg movement at the same time, which will never happen consistently day to day.. The other great part is because our flexibility is different every day, this is a natural way to sync up to your flexibility that you have on each different day.. Opposite of what you're teaching here... Anytime you try to start two different actions with two different muscle groups at the exact same time you're going to fail because your brain is not going to task it perfectly each time.. like trying to rub the top of your head and Pat your stomach in a synchronized way. Doesn't work well.
