Hey! I’m doing your beginner course! I can’t seem to do the 2 loops? If I hit play or hot cue it disappears, how do I do it to line them up to play together or to practice like your course 🥲 using rekordbox and flx4 - thanks!!

Your videos and training has been SO helpful! I'm about halfway through your beginner training and I am learning so much. I really appreciate all the time and effort you've put into this. You're a really good teacher and the course has been easy to move through. Some of my mixes are coming out perfect...others still have that "shoes in a dryer" sound (lol, if this was easy everyone would be doing it). I cannot wait to mix my first full set perfectly! Thank you so much.

Very useful information! Most helpful for sure, when making room to mix tracks together. It's only semantics, but to remain technically accurate, "white noise" is actually all audible frequencies at once, from the lowest to the highest, with each frequency being of equal loudness. White noise in a spectrum analyzer is a flat line across the spectrum.

I recently started my course doing dj under Phil Harris dj course. Each course helped me improved my skills as a DJ. This video was recommended in his course 11. As a edm producer I yet have not master understanding the EQ mixing. This video surely improved my knowledge. Although it’s a DJ course it also allow me to understand and add ideas to some good automation effect on my tracks. Thanks Phil Harris!

Great video mate! Abelton live...everytime I hear of abelton live I think back to the time when/how DJ Sasha superbly edited Space Manoeuvres Stage one track when making his Global Underground Ibiza mix! That’s why you can’t get that particular mix of Space Manoeuvres stage one as there isn’t as such a mix available commercially as Sasha used abelton live to make his very own remix of that tune and what a top notch job he did at that!👍

Hey Phil, love your videos! Big fan. I'm just getting started djing and have made so much progress from what I've learned from you. A question I have though, is there a difference in style when djing live for a crowd versus just making a mix to share online. Does that question make sense? What I'm asking is, is there such thing as live performance style? If so what does it look/sound like? Like constantly mixing into drops and keeping energy high the whole time with minimal luls or breakdowns. Thanks!!

@vitezslavkrcma74682 жыл бұрын
Please help! How to keep the level of each particular frequencies not just by relying on ear. And especially the kicks and base line. Highs can be just too sharp for a little, when played together too loud, mids can be little messi for that while. But the rhythm... too loud kicks can destroy the sound system, cause clicking or overwhelm the other frequencies... or on the other side when they dissappear the continuality is broken and as the kicks are felt by the whole body, the music loses the atractivity and drive. That is unwanted. Not everytime the monitors are perfect, hearing the master can be tricky while it is pointed to the audience not towards the DJ. So the hearing ability can be difficult to use. The master level lights shows all the frequencies together, so bad for separate check. Have only few steps - not enough sensible - change significantly only when it is too much of more or less. In fact when this happens, it is often already too late... So how to be able to keep the lows under the control and keep their level while switching them slowly??? So the changing process is as smooth as possible so it sounds naturally and you are in a new song without any transition noticed by the listeners...
@denzolscarface3 жыл бұрын
Were is the settings to get the same beat , not all beats are the same , some are baseier than others , so when mixing you can hear the change a quite substantially Theres is a number on display on some software what tells you the tracks beat , so you can match tracks that way so your beats are perfectly matched but I dont know what I'm looking for , cam you please help
