Enemy team is too mobile to go for a steraks 2nd by the looks of things Blitz - W movespeed Draven - W movespeed + knockback Ori - W movespeed + slow Zed - Youmuus + Shadow Sion - Youmuus deadmans is an offensive tank item rather than defensive allowing him to gap close while he already has the triforce powerspike, the enemies are only at 1 item or 1.5 items when he buys deadmans so he gets a good 3-5 minutes of powerspike in which he gets another 3 takedowns + dragon using that advantage prettymuch damage powerspike -> mobility powerspike -> get picks before objectives or macro siege vs slower champs or harder engage champs it would of been a steraks/randuins depending on game state sorry for text wall

dmp is a really insane item if u really break it down. U get ms hp and armor which are all great stats for udyr but more importantly dmp gives u dmg on hit scaling with ur base ad so if u stack up ur trinity force ur dmp will get more base ad to deal dmg with. Another thing people dont realize when it comes to dmp is that it actually doesnt need to be fully stacked to deal dmg u basically deal dmg with every auto attack as long as u move a bit so yeah its pretty insane.

Why approach velocity? Also doesn't Udyr need early t2 boots for tempo and somewhat better ganks?

He takes one point in R which combined with Approach Velocity helps him stick to targets.

He takes inspiration for 2 reasons 1 - better ganks before level 6 as "Approach Velocity" gives movespeed towards CC'd targets 2 - each takedown reduces "Magical Footwear" 3 - Less gold spent on mobility to rush powerspike item (Sunderer or Triforce) like 90% of the videos showing this rune page end up with really successful level 4-7's getting around 2-4 takedowns meaning he gets the T1+ boots at around level 8-9 and this then allows him to scale into late better because he has the same movespeed as swifties but buys ninja tabis for 12% damage reduction It just makes his early game so much more reliable so he can snowball compared to the AP tank build doing 8 camps then recalling for swifties+dark seal, you only get a mobility spike and no power spike, so if your team are doing really bad there is no comeback potential also if you play lane udyr you will usually be taking approach velocity and biscuits for the same reason, because if you spend your gold into mobility early you will instantly be at disadvantage to enemy laner coming back with a dirk/whip/sheen sorry for the text wall

@@adaptagain393 no need to be sorry this is actually very useless info as I'm an Udyr main myself (AD specifically because AP just doesn't feel good in low elo) so having better early game and more successful ganks might just be the key to me ranking up lol

Old udyr needed t2 boots for ganking early due to his lack of utility or cc. Now if we go apprach velocity we can save 300 g by going magical footwear which means that we get our mythic 300 gold earlier but also get a perma ms boost from our R or team mates slows or even red buff. Its most efficient imo and u really shouldnt make reworked udyr rely on t2 boots to gank.
