Fun video! I was at that museum in January. Absolutely beautiful museum! It’s very hard to compare your tree as it is younger material. This is a great exercise we can all try because it helps us to realise where we can improve. I like your tree but it is very different to the museum tree. I think over the next years you will turn it into a master piece! The first thing I would do to improve your tree is adjust its height in the pot. It looks too low in the container. Raising the soil level will immediately improve it aesthetically 😄

Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your experience! I'm happy that you visited the museum. It's truly is a gem, isn't it? I completely agree-comparing a younger tree to a more mature masterpiece is a challenge, but it's such a valuable learning experience. As you say, now I know what to do to my tree to improve. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and found it helpful. I appreciate your suggestion about adjusting the height in the pot. That’s a great tip, and I’ll definitely give it a try next spring when I repot the tree. I think it's feedback like this that helps me and others in the bonsai community grow and improve. Thanks again for watching and for your thoughtful advice!

That museum looks amazing. I wish my Japanese white pine was even 32/50. Mine is probably a solid 15/50
