Lakitu may not be a very popular character but he has been in every single Mario Kart game making sure you make it to the finish line. He'll be there right at the start of the race letting players know when to go, he'll rescue you if you fall, let you know if you're going the wrong way, passing a lap and be there when you finish the race. The reason he picks you up instantly in Mk8 is because throughout Mario kart history,players have exploited lakitu getting confused and placing you way ahead of where you fell off. Such as the MKDS pipe glitch on Rainbow road

I remember a long time ago, my brother and I were playing Super Mario Kart, and one of us was going the wrong way. We were talking about the banana peel item, and I think the topic was about where the actual edible part of the banana goes and why the actual item was just the peel without the edible banana portion. Well, somehow I got the idea that Lakitu always *_'eats'_* the banana and just leaves the peels behind to be used in the races. I thought this while going the wrong way and saw him as shown at *1:01**.* There I thought he was eating the bananas with his right hand. So, I always think of lakitu eating bananas when going the wrong way on Super Mario Kart.

So a couple of things: I had no idea most wii sounds actually came from the gamecube edition that was quite cool! I was absolutely shocked on how 7 looked worse than ds and way worse than wii even though it came after...? Also double dash has some really good graphics! I dont like how in 8 they removed the ability to go back i understand people cheating but for me as a child doing the track in reverse was so fun yes i know that theres a mode to play it backwards but doesnt matter i liked the ability to do it. 😅 While i hate that she puts you back when in reverse i like that if you fall theres no more of thay long loading screen before starting again!
