This is my first charcoal grill after a lifetime of gas. kzbin.infoUgkxBPjh-m7-eaAjTEt8BOZRSRRxXqxiI90W The food in it turns out great. Also, the ash remover makes it easy to clean.The base is sturdy and it has ample space inside.I use a chimney to get it started, and it seems pretty efficient. One chimney is enough to cook a whole lot of meat and still keeps burning. If you close the vents it cools down well making it so the coals remaining are still usable as supporting cast members (you still need fresh coals to get them going.I was going to get something bigger, but realized with coal, bigger is just more wasteful and harder to cook with.

Thanks for the Vid. I have a few questions, please. What is the lowest temp setting on the control? Do you have problems with hot spots? Is the far left much cooler that the far right? Does the constant air flow from the fan dry out the food? Is this a better smoker than a grill? How well is it for grilling steaks, brots, burgers, vegies, and pineapple? Do I need to get a smoker and a grill? is this great at both, or not the best at either? How big of a turkey will fit? Can I put live coals and wood chips in the ash box to have more control over the smoke? Is there room for a water tray below the grills? I've read that smoke from fat is a carcinogen and it looks like the drippings will drop directly onto the heat shroud. I'd like to request a comparison video from an expert like yourself on the differences, similarities, strengths and weaknesses of this compared to a grill and a BBQ. If a grill is where the heat is directly under the food, then is this technically not a grill, but a BBQ and offset smoker? Thanks

Just watch some more KZbin videos. That will answer every single question you have just asked.

The music in this video got me so psyched that I went out and got one a few days later. I have done two slow cooks on it so far and have fallen in love with it. I am excited to test out the searing this weekend. I really like the build on it as well. At 500 dollars US I have ZERO buyers remorse.

I'm really thinking of buying this grill the only con that I see so far is the grilling area. Is that an issue for you?
@jamesnugit14 жыл бұрын
@@samvasquez3005 They have confirmed a larger size is coming. Not sure how much bigger but the price point is 799. I am with you on the grilling area. I am also wondering if it can sear as hot as a regular charcoal grill.
@OutdoorsWithGeoff4 жыл бұрын
James Faulkner searing is not an issue. I’ve seared twice so far on mine and it hits 700 degrees plus at the drop of a hat with no problem.

From your cooks, have you seen any issues with hot coals or ash falling out (potentially igniting a wooden deck)?
@Lessk694 жыл бұрын
@@averys9417 The ash falls into the metal bucket that is inside the bottom door and the door it latched. It shouldn't be an issue.

No you put the vent covers back in and firebox goes out.

If the charcoal is slow burning in the hopper then where do those massive flames come from that you show bursting up around your meats?

How would you stop the coals from burning any further if it's filled all the way up, once the cooking process is done? Can you? Does it burn until the end?
@darunealbane3 жыл бұрын
The burning box is airtight there are 2 sliders in front you push in to close the intake and heat vent and choke the fire
