Actually, I am a subscriber of your 2020 course here in Canada, and in a few sections that you mentioned, Arc Filtering is one example, there is a detailed explanation of each of them. Actually, while there are few explanations but is not covering all.

What section of arc filtering were you looking for more information on?
@farhad64it4 жыл бұрын
@@CamInstructor In Dynamic Milling section when it goes to Arc Filtering. While there is a general explanation about it but it does not go to option and its application. This is true regarding other things you mentioned in the Cut parameter. Anyway in the Mill 3D lesson 13, Exercise 13 or there few dimensions are missing or things are not quite right. It is 2 days I am trying to make the loft solid that comes all distorted even though I make them the same amount of entities.

That lesson you need to pay attention to the syncing options used and the starting point/direction of your chains.

Again, Lesson 15 on 3D for 2020 course. In the cut parameter on Overthickness and Bitangency, you mentioned there are full videos about them. I am struggling to see where is it still.

so maximum z depth is a saftey feature? ? nothing to do with your geometry and how you cut?

Hey this is awesome video I save this to one of my playlists to show my guys later. You did mention though that you're going to make a video 4 g code optimization. Are you going to get into Arc filtering settings because I've been always wondering about that and I haven't found good information about what's the best setting for each situation...
@MikeWearne6 жыл бұрын
Yes. We'll be adding arc filtering to this toolpath and seeing it's effect in the next video.

hi sir i have a problem in regenerating the 3d hogh speed toolpath some computation error is occuring is there any settings to change for that case

do you have any videos on impression and boolean features ?>
@CamInstructor3 жыл бұрын
Yes. One of the livesteams I used boolean for a softjaw. Its not a full 'how to', but its talked about a bit. kzbin.info/www/bejne/opnXmmqbmd9geM0

Hi, I closed the tab indicating level, plane, tool path which is located to the left side of mastercam 2018. how can I make it visible again?
@CamInstructor5 жыл бұрын
Along the top of the screen, click on the VIEW tab and then click on Toolpaths.

that’s a long cycle time 👀 The strategy is very good no doubt , but the time is just crazy .

Big parts take time, even more time if you need 3D motion. Material will play a big roll too.

Where is stock to leave ??
@CamInstructor4 жыл бұрын
Stock settings can be found on the Model Geometry page. You have options for Walls and Floors there.
@jeremyvonk68534 жыл бұрын
Is there a way to automatically generate "tabs" ? Say you wanted to hold this part in the stock for secondary operations on the bottom side? I realize most of the point of this video is to remove all the stock...LOL!
@CamInstructor4 жыл бұрын
You could have extra stock on the bottom for holding and just stop the toolpath in Z before machining it away. If you want tabs, you could model some in and then OptiRough could see them and machine accordingly. 2D Contour has an option to auto generate tabs which could also be an option.
@sreekuma2266 жыл бұрын
Its not a perfect program. U can optimize the cut order and just draw a boundary using bounding box. No need of selecting stock and stock modal.
@GioBaby4 жыл бұрын
Sree Kumar that’s what i was thinking as well , just draw a bouncy box where the stock would be and then create a tool path based on that boundary box
@CamInstructor4 жыл бұрын
I can create a stock model much faster than geometry to represent stock. Stock model, 3 mouse clicks, geometry to represent stock, 10ish...and that would be for simple stock. Anything complex and the difference grows more. Also, if you change the stock size, updating the stock model is again very few clicks and the toolpath is tied directly to it...if you create new geometry you have to remember to rechain in the toolpath. Its all personal preference as there is always more than one way to do something in Mastercam...the point of this video was to work through many options and see the different results. As far as toolpath optimization, there are 3 more videos in this series looking at optimization of OptiRough. This is only the first video and the part is not done yet.
