Just finished up two sets of tracks..one fruil for a E 60. Another Trex on a tiger.. being the first time I found that the psychological involvement included adult beverages and the proper amount of music required!!

I have mixed experience with the Master club tracks. I bought a set for a Sturer Emil intending to use them on my Trumpeter VK30.01H. I cleaned up all the castings. By trial and error I discovered the pressing the finger onto the pin. I did have problems with mine. Got one side assembled but had problems on second side. Then box got knocked to floor and the track broke into multiple sections. Now awaiting mini drill bits to chase holes cause some pins wouldn't fit. Once assembled they did look nice. I do agree that Frul requires more prep work but final assembly went very fast and seem to be very sturdy. I'm looking at getting more from each company.

Old post but better late than never I suppose...the only Masterclub tracks I've had dealings with were for the T-72 and T-90A and they were the best metal cast tracks I'd ever used. My experience with Friul Model have been hit and miss. A lot more clean up for sure but I'm currently working with their set for the T-14 Armata and they are the worst I've ever used by Friul. Some of them are crooked or somewhat off cast and I've done my best to fix the off cast. Thank goodness a good portion will be hidden under both huge side skirts. Also with the T-72/T-90/T-14 they provide two different types of track links. Some with a slight angle and the regular straight links. The angled ones go around the idler wheels and drive sprockets making assembly of them more annoying. And oddly, the Friuls I have for the T-34 and Tiger I Early are all straight track links and no angled links. I've had better results with Masterclub. Now the old Resin cast Masterclub? Oh geez...

it's better to be honest about it than try and bluff it. I noticed a lot of channels are sponsored and only give a load of bs about certain paints being the best. I will always try and be impartial... except with AS magazine as I am part of that team 😁✌

Hello! Fantastic video, thank you! But I have a question - why are most modellers weathering the tracks rusty? I´ve never seen a tank with rusty tracks. Not even when it was sitting at a place for years. The same with the hull or body. All these alloys a tank is build of just don´t corode that fast. I don´t mind weathering at all! But I think it shouldn´d be done exaggerated. Cheers! 👍

Im in the middle of building cpappy looking dragon plastic tracks that came with the 15cm sturmpanzer 3. Ive never been able to justify the cost of the aftermarket tracks, but this kit has changed my mind I think. I like those resin pin tracks. Great video Bear. As far as pigment hacks go, Ive been using grout pigment dye, you can get pounds of it on Ebay for the cost of a small container.

Great video - nice lot of time saving skills in both construction and finish. To be honest, I don't really like either Fruil or Masterclub. They're both really expensive here in UK (both add about £30 to the cost of the kit), Fruil's are like doing hard labour and I find their quality control patchy at best, and the resin pins on Masterclub tracks I find are fragile and break easily. In all honesty, I'd like to get ModelKasten tracks, but they're virtually impossible to find here in England, so unless the kit tracks are really horrible, I don't generally use them. For Tiger tracks, AFV Club do a couple of really nice sets. For the fragile paint finish on the white metal, I find some metal primer helps, but even that isn't a guarantee that the paint will stick. Great video anyway, and well worth watching.
