Can’t help but thinking yesterdays stream playing Centurion vs and endless slew of Tear decks influenced the top of this list - Centurion has a really bad matchup vs all-gas decks so it was never going to end well 😅 That being said, if Tear isn’t T1, it’s top of T2 for sure. It just needs a good pilot and a competent deckbuilder who understands you want to avoid filling the deck with dead mills.

Voiceless Voice is easily tier 2, imo top of tier 2. It's incredibly resilient through hand traps, the board is hard to crack and has a lot of follow up, the Yubel match up is annoying but overrated, put your Skull Guardian in defense and grind them out, that match up is super winnable. People say "Oh but you don't know you're fighting Yubel so you wanna put Skull Guardian in attack!" There's no card in the meta threatening over 2500 before reaching end board, and you can make SG battle immune with Blessing, put your Skull Guardian in defense and stop losing to these brain dead Yubel players. Every other match up is pretty favorable for VV, they have plenty of non engine space, super poly wrecks boards right now, and they have ways to dodge and protect from targeting and in the grind is gonna beat every other top deck right now. Voiceless is more nuanced than people realize and is incredibly competent in the hands of a good pilot. It's the best deck that doesn't lose to Maxx C and its arguably got the best grind game atm. It's far better than decks like Centur-Ion and Mathmech with more linear weaknesses.

You can make that play of activating a second flash spell, but often times it’s better to just give your opponent 1 or two draws and end on a small noir. Your opponent draws two and you draw 2-6 cards in their standby phase. Also the fact that you can run so much nonengine engine and the white purrelys non once per are good at baiting negates. The deck can definitely do well going second. Also the fact that the deck has the highest win rate in the game should alone be reason to be at least tier 2

Yubel definitely tier 1, not many MD players aren’t great at yubel plays and yet they still lose. I did lose a quite few, that one duel did give me PTSD. Mess up that one duel due the nightmare pain. I’ve should just tribute over it. 😥

I think Tear is Good, but I wouldn't call it tier 1, because of Yubel people are bringing in Bystials to counter her, this also deals with tear, also because Snake eyes and Yubel use the graveyard so much any strategy using graveyard control to fight those two also hurts tear, and they don't have as much consistency as they used to or enough compare with Yubel and Snake Eyes Fire King

I used to play a crazy fun Yubel lightsworn deck back in 2011, so I was hyped for Yubel. Don get me wrong, Yubel is cool, but it somewhat disappointed me. Only original thing about it is the Mikanko effect (its original gimmick), but other than than that is just a combo deck that puts up negates. It seems that every archetype even revamped ones like Yubel get this treatment. Just hope to go first and put up negates.

Blackwing is far more versatile and just better than raidraptors, watch some kanak videos and you'll see. Bw can ftk, kali yuga, set up a board full of layered interruption, etc. Dinomorphia can also play on turn 0 with arias, its not super consistent but its playable. Even without arias, wannabee is cool, but without that the counter traps allow you to play going 2nd vs decks without a ton of removal. Negate heavy decks could lose to dinomorphia off the strength of counter traps alone

Tear is gambling, sometimes they win big, mill the nuts, and are the best deck by far... not always, but sometimes they're tier 0 and undefeatable so tier 1 is probably fair. Plus if the pilot is good it definitely keeps up with the best decks pretty consistently. Fair take imo

I actually think Branded is Tier 1. Puppet lock was never needed and the deck is still so powerful with so much gas, and can still run so many variants. I think the only reason we don’t see it as often is because it’s an older deck. I’d bump Centur-Ion to tier 2 as well. It can play through banishment, Supernova and Blazar are crazy cards, good recursion, good matchup into Yubel, can run D Shifter which can just floodgate certain decks for an auto win, good win rate, very popular, and I don’t think it’s a tier below Rescue-Ace. Just my opinion

Nah I can def see centurion in tier 2 its just sometimes it loses to 1 hand trap due to some clunky hands which made me put it at top of tier 3 (which is still really strong imo)

branded has gas but not that many starters if you compare to other top meta decks, so more likely to brick/less room for handtraps and we have been in the handtraps meta since forever. I've played branded a lot, my best was to m2, the thing is to get to the gas you have to go through a linear starting sequence first and that is only if you start with a good enough hand to bait out the veiler, imperm or have called by for ash (a resolved ash will most likely just kill all the branded gas). Going second is just so tough for branded in higher ranks because your opponly need to throw disrupt 2 times at most on the right cards and then your only choice left as a branded player is to scoop, nothing more to extend, no matter how good the hand is.

Yeah, nah, brother, the only relevant deck with better consistency than VV is Purrely, and only Sefk, Branded, and Purrely have a better turn 2. It's at the very least a T2 deck. I previously would have put it as the 4th best deck behind Yubel, Sefk, and Branded, but maybe Tear is above it too. Other ones, though? No chance I'm putting VV below them. It's way too consistent: a 3-4 disrupt endboard that can play through handtraps the best out of the relevant decks here, except for Sefk. Only Sefk has a better grind game, and it's incredible against Maxx "C" unlike the other strong decks. After reading my reasonings, maybe I'm putting it as the 3rd best deck, actually.

I can’t place VV below Floo. At the very least VV is tier 3 imo. Flop’s end board isn’t much better. VV can at least end on an omni-negate, spell negate potentially, and two potential pops. Maybe the solemn warning (Sauravis) if everything goes right. Floo doesn’t end any quite that good.

My reasoning is mostly because Floo has a really good counter to yubel with the trap's graveyard effect flipping everything down, the ability to play shifter which crushes the other 2 tier 1 decks (fkse and tear) and not caring at all about Maxx C. (Voiceless has some decent plays into Maxx C but not nearly as good as Floo going full combo and giving the opponent 0 draws)

Also I generally disagree that the turn 1 setup is not good. Empen is great, and the ability to go into either Apex avian or the monarch depending on the situation is also great. (not to mention they have access to Harpie's feather wind which is basically a free win when you draw it, with multiple cards that dig deeper into the deck since they can run pots and their continuous spell draws 2)

I forgot about the Feather Wind and the second effect of the trap card. I realized the shifter advantage and of course Empen. Not to mention the continuous spell can tribute Yubel monsters if someone plays it. Yeah, Floo holds up well against certain meta decks. My main point was that VV is at least on the same level, but I definitely see your point.

Not gonna argue that Ghoti is anywhere above playable, i think you're right on the money there. But i will say that it's not reliant on being a 2-card combo anymore. Normal summon Leaffish isn't just "send Shif, pass" anymore. There's 2-3 interruption combos utilizing nimble cards and sprind just from leaffish.

When playing against Yubel with VV, you really have to play VV Control, use your backrow pop to destroy all the monsters, use the saurivus to negate the special summon, smartly use the omninegate, its a tough matchup for sure but doable

Im not saying its impossible or that VV is bad. Im saying its overrated bc ive seen other creators call it top tier when its clearly not a great meta pick. I played a ton of VV and got to master with it before settling on my opinion.

@VVNikSanchez So far I'm on a 4 win streak in Diamond, and I just got into Diamond with my last Plat match being against FK SE. I'm not saying these matches were easy either because Konami keeps making me face decks with straight combo GAS but then again I'm not running the same exact tech everyone else is running so IDK if that's a factor but I do have a disadvantage with my ED only having one UR which I pulled for free 😂 Maybe I could win games easier if I was rich enough for the ED but IDK

@@VVNikSanchez You can Maxx C them early, hope they can't negate it, and hope they try to be rude, and not let you get one draw. 😂 Therefore letting you live another turn to hopefully pull something useful? I took Ash out of mine since we don't care about Maxx C, and put in Droll instead to hopefully stop decks that like to add if I ever soft brick which Droll actually did help me in one of my diamond games against Raidrapter where I did soft brick, they left me with low LP, I got to live another turn, and I took the W after.

nah this guy is smoking crack. VV is one of the most consistent and powerful decks in MD, it's even more prevalent in high rating duels than all decks he listed at tier 3.

Purrely is easily tier 1 or 2. Purrely DOES NOT care about maxx c. Nobody is playing droll... if you're playing hand traps with Purrely, you're trolling. Board breakers are the way. Plus, Purrely is great going 1st and 2nd. 3 spoly, 3 thrusts, and whatever board breakers you want. I personally play 22 engine (2 yeap), so 18 non engine.

I have been putting Dinos below rogue for like 7 tier lists in a row. Until we get more support or someone finds some cracked build I don't really see the point of putting it on the list. Makes me sad having to say "dinos not good" every tier list :'(

The board is amazing. The problem is obviously the dino bricks and the fact that if you dont have the out, ash on misc wins the game like 90% of the time.

Nah only dinos on field are unaffected. So they can ash the misc and that pretty much always wins the game.

I'm sorry to disagree with your choices but Traptrix is really strong going first and second. Traptrix is really sleeped on. It is top of tier 2 bottom of tier 1. It is above Centurion . Traptrix has fallen off been played but it is holding its own. Before I get hated on yes the art is problematic. It is a high end budget deck. If it goes first against even Yubel or Fire King / Snake eyes it wins. Branded can't go second to it too. I'm not a sicko for playing the deck. It deserves a second look
