Good eye, Jon Sensei. Exactly. It’s like a big bellyflop. And this was one of the few seminars where I could really run with this concept. The young man, you see taking ukemi started training with me when he was about 12. You know lives in a different city a couple hours drive away. But still trains with me when he can. Anyway, most uke don’t have enough follow-through for me to be able to demonstrate this properly. But he does. His ukemi is really solid and really flexible all at the same time.
